For what it's worth, the difference between 30 and 60 FPS is minimal compared to teleporting enemies when periodically synchronizing with the host.

I mean, if framerate is important to you (if you're one of the chosen few who can "see" past 30 /s) then you shouldn't be playing on console

People who still think that there's no difference between 30 and 60 FPS (or more) are like flat earthers. Not worth wasting time on them.

Focusing all my cash into keeping PC more up to date. But it's still sad to see console players defend 15-30 fps.

This is such a bizarre topic to take such a firm stance on.
And fwiw, I disagree. I need 60 fps on my fighters to hit my tight links, to properly interrupt strings with gaps, and whatnot. Consoles hit that in the competitive fighters.
I don't need 60 fps for my PVE horde mode space magic shooter. Why the hell would I?

I've been back and forth on consoles and PC my whole life but the nail in the coffin for me was finally going up to 144 Hz. After that even 60 feels slow and 30 is absolutely unacceptable. Shame cause there's a lot of cool games on PSquadripple that I'd play but I refuse to at 30.

Console exclusives are a damn shame, but at the same time, they can lead to a game being higher quality than a multi-platform title because Sony/Microsoft wind up paying through the nose to keep it exclusive. This, combined with not having to worry about parity between platforms, means that you get games like Bloodborne and Nioh - which in my opinion are all the reasons you need to buy a PS4 if you like action-RPGs or third-person character action games. oh and agreed on 144Hz gfycat.com/RightJaggedChimneyswift

I don't know if it is better on the newer xbox models, but it feels like the frame rate is worse than ME3. Though some of that could be lag and the enemies bouncing around.

I don't have a pc that can run things even on par with my xbox, so I have never been spoiled I guess. If you are used to 30 you don't get motion sick playing at 30, you don't notice the blurriness, it is just what it is. 60 is definitely better, but Pc whiners who go on and on about consoles they don't play not being uber powerful pc 120 fps 144hz are a bigger headache than 10 fps. I would love if consoles could do that for a decent price, but they can't, so we console players take what we get and enjoy our video games in all their blurry low fps glory. W/e

Wow, thanks for posting that gif. I saw your earlier post about FPS in MEA. I've always wondered why people are so insistent on 60 FPS. I really only play on console, so I've never had the 60 fps experience. It's good to have some idea of what I'm missing out on. You may be joking (it's obviously hard to tell on the internet), but never saw a video on Youtube? 60fps is the standard now, that's the best way to have an idea about the difference. ___ Some people truly don't care. In my case and from experience of always having a substandard PC or a PC on the "edge" (finally I'm out of that ditch) I never aimed for 60fps as useful as it was, I needed at least 40fps to git gud on shooters. But now, I really need those 60 minimum, especially if there's shooting to be done (for instance in a game like Skyrim, I don't care if it runs at 45 average), but the thing that I absolutely cannot stand is inconsistency, very common in games today. Either stay at 40 or stay at 60, don't fucking go 15 fps in one area and then 95 fps, and then 70 fps in another because that's gnome shit with capital G.

I should clarify: I don't play games in 60 FPS, or at least I doubt I do since I play on console. After seeing this thread, I looked up a comparing 30 vs 60 FPS side by side. There's certainly a difference but my mind is used to 30 FPS at the moment. I think when consoles finally make the transition to 60 FPS I won't be able to go back once I get used to it. But by then you PC players will have ten billion frames per second and still think I'm a peasant. : ( Maybe one of these days I'll get a PC, but I love my TV too much.

I got dangerously close to trying to check out Horizon on PS4 but since it has been years since I used it, same situation. And then my existing library was all corrupt or some shit, so, back to Off you go, fucker!
