Bad news. The 'epic fucking grindfest' that existed at launch has effectively doubled for characters and quadrupled for weapons - and more of both have been added to the game.


Probably in some ways, and perhaps worse in others.


That's probably not going to happen. It is, however, possible that you might find MEA fun on its own merits.

No way for me to help you along then, I'm on pc. The grind's gotten way worse, so it doesn't hurt to have a few bsn players in your friends list. Platinum is nice, though!

i think people need to stop worrying about maxing their manifest, as that seems to really be the primary complaint these days. just play the game, and enjoy the fact that you'll continuously make progress toward something.

Leveling speeds haven't changed, but at least you can buy Experience Enhancers directly now (using Mission Funds).

The random disconnects are mostly cured. I get them very rarely on XB1, now.

Platinum saved it for me, as I was on my way out the door until I tried it.

I was pretty pissed at first about the store bloat, mainly character cards. It's not so bad though, just ignore it and have fun if you can. If you can't, don't play anymore. Pretty simple concept.

It has some flaws but all in all it's a good game and you can have some decent fun. Imho for quite a while.

Levelling up characters is pretty easy now with mission funds and XP boosters.
Just make sure you have the APEX HQ app installed sending out daily your virtual strike teams and doing 1 or 2 of the daily challenges yourself.

The real fun starts when having a few good characters with >= rank 10 (X) cards and lvl 20 plus a few good weapons at rank 10 as well. In order to do so concentrate on common (bronze), special (silver) and rare (gold) characters/weapons only by buying basic (bronze), advanced (silver) and expert (gold) packs only with guaranteed drops from these categories.

Ultra rare (platinum) characters/weapons coming with reserve/arsenal/premium packs but with a drop rate of ~20-25% only are nice to have but not a must to win any game on any difficulty level.
