The ability of these blind, condescending elites to not step into the shoes of normal players, even base level good players, is dumbfounding. To think platinum hack is able to be described as fine is flat out stupid. You guys make me miss vegasflash. I haven't seen a more stupid vs. sensible divide since the last election.

Oh right that reminds me I've been meaning to complain about this. In ME3 it was possible to kill certain enemies to stop them from spawning on a wave. Ex. on Cerberus Gold wave... 3? 6? you could kill enough Dragoons that they would stop spawning. This would keep them off you during Devices (or Hacks for that matter). In MEA it doesn't seem possible to kill enough enemies to stop them from spawning. It's like every enemy has infinite wave budgets on objective waves. So you cannot play smart any more. If it were possible to kill enough Krogan Berserkers or Anointed or whatever the "rush" units are on each faction you could at least play smart on the Hacks. Yes, Dragoons were limited on all objective waves. This was something they changed, when 'goons first came out they were unlimited on objective waves.

I find it amazing that they took the same concept that instantly ruins alot of gold runs by wave 6, and pissed us all off about the 3 point hack, and put it on the circle hack.
WHY THE FUCK THEY THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?!

What ridiculous point exactly were you trying to make as you cycled through platinum pug lobbies to find the data to fit your pro paradigm? Because, you know, that's how science works: Cherry picking data to support your claim.

In defense of Mr. Blastoff: on pc, I don't have to cherrypick to be able to post such a picture, I encounter similar Platinum Lobbies on a daily basis... Thank you scathane, when I come back from work I'll gladly overload the forums with pictures of "non cherry picd" platinum lobbies on PC, (if there are any...) to prove my point. Platinum is "difficult", wave 6 hacks are "difficult". They are even more difficult though when you don't go in with a solid plan for taking down the highest HP highest DR enemies in the game. Loading up platinum with characters that choose to "hide" from the enemies is NOT how you win. The enemies aren't just going to go away YOU HAVE TO KILL THEM..... I'm not being elitist, i'm being realistic, you are not going to win platinum if you plan involves an avenger S... or a equalizer, or crap like the pic above. It was made to give players who wanted the best challenge bioware could toss out without being impossible. Maxed out URs, maxed out UR characters. Not people trying to make a big payout... Like I said earlier, show me ANY situation where the fault is on bioware... its ALWAYS the players who lose platinum.

I've successfully completed every single PUG Hack on Platinum that I've done since the patch. The new Hack still fucking blows. It's not about whether or not we can do it, it's about h̴̨̡̡͖͙̳̭͍̲̠̘̯̳̖͇̣͙͝ͅo̶̸̹̯͖͔̩̜͚̣͉w̢͎͖̙̻͎̮͉͘͠ ̵̛͈̣͖̫̱̰͓̤̮͎͓̞̹̻̹̠̬̺́͘̕m̧̮͉͉̘̳̖͔̠̮̰̻͘̕ư̶̘̹̳̠̖̱̣̼͇̖͕̩͙̗̘͎̝͇̗c̴̶̘̱̥̦͉̞͍̳̩̦͎̯͖̣̣̘͢ͅh̢̼̞̮͈̻̪̞̜͕̩̘͙̳̹̠̤́͠ͅ ̶͈̭̯̠̕͢͢͡ͅi͏̧̱̜͇̯̼͕̣̱̗̦̙̠̬͔̰̠̭͠t̡̟͕̮̰̀́̀̕ ̶̸̟̮͚̞̹̦̲̱͚̦̟͙̝̕͟͝s̶̡͖̰̼̙̺̠͍̗̘̘͞ư̟̯̗̹̲̩͎̕͞͠c̨͏̷̻̻͙̰̹̘̗̳ͅk̴͈̖͓̜͍̱͜͠ś̢̡̛̬̟̣̹̱̜̜̰͕̭͘

It's not just Platinum - it pretty much sucks in the other difficulties as well. For lulz do a Bronze solo until you get a Hack. You should effortlessly be able to keep it clear. Now count the seconds until you are BORED OUT OF YOUR FUCKING MIND doing that.

^It's all relative. I tend to do a fair amount of Bronze and Silver solos since I will knock out those Apex missions instead of sending strike teams from time to time.
The biggest advantage on the lower difficulties is that the giant bullet sponge enemies do not respawn, sort of like the issue raised earlier (forgot to mention that when I made my post). So you can kill the Destroyer or Fiend and Ascendent or whatever and it isn't too horrible depending on setup.
IIRC they don't respawn on Silver either, but it is still very painful. The one I did today I failed the Wave 6 hack twice since I was not interested in burning Cobras. This was with a Human Vanguard using the Disciple. I remember doing a Deeper into the Ruins silver that had hacks on 3 and 6 and for Wave 6 I just resorted to using all my Cobras.
Honestly I am not sure what about the current hack bothers me the most, the bullet sponge enemies just hanging out, or the fact that pets and annoyance units are able to contest it. Perhaps neither would bother me if the hack rate was better, especially solo.

I don't mind the mechanics but slowing hack down while not increasing the objective timer is such an oversight.
