Star Trek meets Mass Effect in Series

It could work. I am just skeptical on exactly how it could work. Maybe a miniseries could actually work. Explore the First Contact War, some of the background on the Reaper stuff, etc.

Hey I'm not the biggest trek fan and this looks amazing.  And you literally cannot go wrong with that choice for music.

It would be a good universe to have a series in, just long as it doesn't have any customisable character in it, like Shep or Ryder. Everyone has their own Shep/Ryder, having one in a series would be awful.

Don't get me started on ST:D, I can't breathe for excitement. 

It worked with Lara Croft, since Lara is always Lara. It wouldn't work with any head canoned game protagonist.

Femshep or Broshep? Paragon or Renegade? Shades in between?

There's a reason why only directors like Uwe Boll pick up on game movies. Every approach deviating from individual playstyles and characters, would be a sure recipe for disaster. I think the ones holding the rights know that much.

Whew. Just spent the past hour hour reading every single thing I could about the new Star Trek (which I knew nothing about until this thread).

I would love to see a ME (or DA, for the matter) movie/series. It may be that at some point in the future, we will get something set in the same universes(s). But Shep's story (or the Warden from DAO)? I seriously doubt it. Bioware games are too structured around player customization of the protagonist. Even in instances where the story plays out roughly the same no matter what the player does (ie, MEA and DAI), character tone and personality has always been defined by player choice.

And even if they did a character for a show with shades of personality traits (a little renegade, a little paragon), what about FemShep versus MShep? What about race and sexual orientation? What about love interests and friendships?

I think the fandom would flip their shit over these choices in a Shep tv series. Can you imagine these forums? The mixture of rage and elation would be catastrophic!

It's too bad tho...I would love to see any treatment of the ME series in a show form.

I don't know the actress playing the protagonist, but so far I like her a lot! She reminds me of Shepard.

The Klingons reminded me of the California Raisins. Are they actually purple?
