Best option really. However those older laptops don't run well. Try the trial and if it doesn't run well when you upgrade imo desktops are better than even the best gaming laptop.

The point of the trial is of course to try it.

Some didn't like it, some spent hundreds of hours with it.

Yeah, isn't that weird? It is almost like people have different taste...


And to stay on topic, I will echo the others that says try the Trial and go from there.

So you go for the instant "NO DON'T" instead of "Try it for yourself" - LIKE YOU YOURSELF DID.

Guess my hotheadedness got the better of me and typed exactly what was on my mind the second I saw the quotes below.

Hey, naughtynomad let us know how the trial went when you get done! It'd be informative for future tech spec recommendations! The developers always have minimum specs, but they aren't always actually true, so hearing your experience would be great!

I suspect the gfx card will melt.

I got a new rig coming. Just waiting on the CPU and the GPU. I got the rest of it this morning. It's sitting in the man cave... mocking me. Heading off to west Texas tomorrow. I'll be here like the developers... super rare... (veiled jab) but I will check into a scary Studio 6 from time to time to restock (and rethink this gig) and use the wifi. It's going to be terribly slow... history is on my side.

Unfortunately at times I think it is the Canadian in BioWare by trying to please everyone that screws them over.  I remember prior to Inquisitions launch people were demanding a 100 hour game and others were saying that if it is more then 20 hours they wouldn't buy it.  So we get Inquisition with its design where technically you can do both, but in reality both suffered.  I can see similar things in Andromeda that they were trying to make both sides of the coin happy and instead it came out a mess.  With that said I think they did take some things away from Inquisition's release complaints as well such as forcing people off of Eos before you could 100% it.
