With all the mixed reviews and negative press at the launch of Andromeda, I made the decision to wait out the first 3-6 months before buying the game. I've done this before with a few games, and it produced more enjoyable times. I did the same with ME3 and found the updated endings much better than many fan seemed to.
Anyways, I'm a little concerned if my PC can handle the game. Could anyone let me know if these specs would suffice to run the game and have an enjoyable experience?
Operating System Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU Intel Core i7 4700MQ @ 2.40GHz 43 °C Haswell 22nm Technology
RAM 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798MHz (11-11-11-28)
Graphics Generic PnP Monitor (1920x1080@60Hz) Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Lenovo) 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M (Lenovo) 41 °C ForceWare version: 376.54 SLI Disabled

It could run, barely and in very low Quality. I Managed to run it with a GTX560M and 16gb ram, but with all in low and 0.75 of resolution, until i got a new laptop with a GTX1070 and the same with ram.

You might barely be able to play it on its lowest settings, but it wouldn't be an enjoyable experience.

Ah, that's unfortunate. I was planning to get a new computer at the end of the year. Seems I'll just have to wait a little longer then. Thanks!

Compare to mine, it runs. Fairly well, I might add. I won't Ultra it (still think that's just age showing, I could Ultra Inquisition) but it runs baring the occasional hiccup.

Wow, this got negative quick. Jeeze, guys. Here's an idea. Right now MEA is available for a 10 hour free trial. Should be able to get it through Origin. Download the trial and try it out! That'll be a good indicator of how it will perform on your PC, and will give you an indication of you want to play more. Remember, too, when you okay the trial that many reviewers said the dialogue and story pick up as you play, so if it seems pretty good at the start, it only gets better. But yeah, download the trial and test it out for yourself!

Naughtynomad made the thread because he wanted to know if his computer would be able to play the game. He was not asking for "is this game good or bad?", he was not looking for an opinion on the game, just if his machine could play it. There are plenty of thread for opinion on the game, about positive and negative reaction, this is not one of those and there should never had a starting comments saying to pirate it because its not good enough for the price, that was never the point of this thread.

Add to it the endless spam of "ME:A is bad because" and "there will be no DLC Hah, Hah, Hah" from "people" like suikoden and companions, and there is the reason I do not visit this "vale of tears" so often. Really - I was hoping this forum would at least balance out a bit, and people that like the game could at least have some fun here, but the bash-brigade is not allowing it obviously. Sigh - I'm too old and tired to keep ignoring that stuff, so I am going to leave this forum for a while. Maybe in a month or so things will better up, but for now that bash-brigade can burn in hell as far as me concerns.

I, too, thought after a while the haters would get bored or start playing a game they enjoy or something, but not yet apparently. Hopefully they will find peace and let it go eventually, for their own well-being and ours, and then we can get back to discussing the fun stuff.

No his question was :
"Anyways, I'm a little concerned if my PC can handle the game. Could anyone let me know if these specs would suffice to run the game and have an enjoyable experience?"
He was asking if his specs would be good enough to run the game, not if he should purchased it because of reviews or quality, the question was "are these specs good for this game? because I want a purchase it but I am affraid my computer won't be powerful enough" that was it. The question was around the power of his machine not the game itself.

I'm just too old to want to deal with whiny, entitled, selfish brats who apparently don't want anything to exist that doesn't cater to their own needs. I would like to mention that this forum does have an ignore feature, though. I've found it very useful.

The mods will try to allow all perspectives to be shared so long as it doesn't stop being enjoyable. People can report posts they think are crossing the line, so that we can return to our usually classy BSN.

But when the same group of people post the same thing over and over again about how ME A "failed" it gets tiring and leads to people leaving. Personally I'm going to try to stay out of it unless there's false information being spread about ME: A.

Unfortunately that's not enough. On the positive side, you'd probably get more of your money's worth buying some old classics from GOG anyway.
