Did anyone get an MEA email survey regarding packs? [ Someone on reddit did] but for he only posted the intro, not the actual questions. Here's the survey intro from the redditor. (I did not receive the survey. It was likely sent to a small, representative, random sampling of everyone for whom Bioware has an email address, which is standard practice with surveys.)

The prices were a joke before, but now it's just sad. The system was made for the manifest that was available before (which was still expensive as hell), but now that the manifest is astronomically dilluted (also including the new weapons and their variants) oh my, the prices are the same for less total progression per pack. Typical.

I got the email survey but it only asked would I recommend Andromeda to my friends, on a scale of 1 to 10. The only follow up was asking why I rated the game with the score I marked.

But neither of you screenshot the questions? Same. I took it and, like a dork, didn't screenshot. I roughly remember it, though, since I just did it this morning. Started as a 2-question survey. First question was if you would recommend MEA to friends/family and it gave a 1-10 scale. Second question was a box to type in to explain why you answered the way you did. I gave my honest opinion about the patches improving SP a lot, wanting SP DLC, kind of enjoying the MP but mostly feeling it fall flat as compared to the fun I had in ME3MP. It then asked if I would answer 5 questions regarding MP packs. *sigh* Wanted to know if I'd rather purchase Andromeda points or buy packs directly with real world money. Had some scales of 1-10 regarding my thoughts on if I felt the packs were priced fairly, if I felt they were a good value for what you receive, if I'd be willing to pay more for a random pack with a guaranteed premium item, if I'd be willing to pay more for a pack that displayed what was in it (unclear if they meant literally saying "this pack contains a Mattock II" vs "this pack contains a guaranteed uncommon weapon" or "this pack contains a guaranteed uncommon assault rifle"), and if I'd be willing to buy specific items directly from the store if they were higher than the cost of a pack (I can only assume that means you could choose to specifically buy a Mattock upgrade, but at a higher price than the RNG packs). Then at the end it gave me a comment box to say anything else I wanted to about MP packs, which I gave my honest opinion that after the deluge of weapon variants, I've essentially stopped playing because it's just not as fun as ME3MP for me, therefore it is not worth grinding my entire life away trying to get a specific weapon or unlock a character I want. Even after all the DLCs of ME3MP, it wasn't so daunting a task to try and max your manifest other than the URs. So, essentially, the MP survey was nothing about the current experience at all and all about "how can we possibly milk you for more real world money on MP packs"?

My response re real world money has been the same all along re bioware mp games. I never spend funds just to get packs to further a manifest. I spent no money on DAIMP and so far none on MEAMP. I did spend money on Me3mp. I spent money after they would come out with a really good DLC. Thus, you give me a few new maps, some interesting new characters a few weapons and an new enemy and I will reward you with some real world funds. Also things like stability come into bearing. If the game crashes too often and I get no recourse from hours of play with no benefit at all, then I give no cash.

No, drims and drams of one map every 4 weeks, one class every 6 weeks, no new opponents does not = DLC for me. Also MEAmp is still in the not stable enough phase for me, BioWare owes me literally millions of credits and exp. Give me 3 new classes, 2 new maps, some new guns and new opponent and you will see support, as i said in my other post

No, drims and drams of one map every 4 weeks, one class every 6 weeks, no new opponents does not = DLC for me. I think you will not be surprised to learn I have data on this. 35 days after ME3's launch it got the Resurgence DLC: 2 maps, 6 characters, 3 weapons; 11 total new things. 35 days after MEA's launch it had 'drims and drams' totaling: 4 maps, 2 characters, 2 weapons, and 2 new game mechanics; 10 total new things. By day 84, ME3 had another DLC (Rebellion) with: 2 maps, 6 characters, 3 weapons, and 2 new game mechanics; up to 24 new things total. By day 84, MEA had several more 'drims and drams' with: 2 maps, 2 characters, 2 weapons; up to 16 new things total. Today we are on day 126 post launch. In another week (day 133) ME3 would get its 3rd DLC (Earth) and I'll give the totals: 38 new things. Today in MEA we have... 23 new things. BUT. I have not counted: S-tier weapons, map variants (dusk / daytime), or any of the new loot. So I think the comparison is not as lopsided as it appears. Anyway the point is: MEA has given you 23 new things (NOT COUNTING S-weapons, map variants, or lootsplosion)... or about 2 ME3 DLC's worth of items.

The new weapons filled niches. MEAs' new stuff other than maps are mostly copypasta of existing things. If its just reskinned and/or repackaged BS, it's not new stuff.

Yes, everything new in ME3 was incredibly innovative and never before seen, and everything in MEA is derivative and lame.

ME3 had better "netcode" than MEA, without question. Toss on the bloated RNG pool that came with 1.09 and I took a hard pass on Andromeda points. Lack of communication from Bioware, and premature Anthem drum-pounding didn't help either.

Not sure if this'll work but here's the link from the email: Andromeda Survey"Go get'er, Ray!" I edited your link to remove the unique user ID and other email-related flags, since if multiple people keep using the same user ID to complete the survey, it might just keep overwriting the same answers. edited link
Edit: You can also delete the parts of the URL from the question mark onward and still get the same survey, though in that case your submitted survey will probably have fewer flags identifying where you got the survey from, how it was sent out, etc. Also, I submitted one completed survey, and then tried reloading it (because I was testing some of the aforementioned flag stuff) and got this interesting message added to my new survey: "I've detected that your browser has already completed this survey but I'll let you in anyway for testing". Edit 2: You can also keep the flags but change them arbitrarily and the survey will still work. For example, I changed seg to 1, list to 0, utm_campaign to HEY_DO_YOU_LIKE_APPLES, Title to HOW_ABOUT_THEM_APPLES, Team to poo, Platform to N64, and Campaign to OPERATION_APPLES, and the survey still loaded fine. Whether that info would get passed along with the survey though would be anyone's guess. Edit 3: I played around with the URL some more, specifically the survey number, and got access to some other exclusive(?) surveys. 170706 is huge, took me like 20 minutes to fill it out, covers a bunch of video game interests and buying habits. Edit 4: yes please Edit 5: The UID identifier in the survey's URL will accept negative numbers and alphanumerics. Also for some UID values it gives an error message that the UID used is already in progress. Whatever that means. I guess most of this isn't really relevant but it's fun to play with to see what happens.

Yes, everything new in ME3 was incredibly innovative and never before seen, and everything in MEA is derivative and lame. You got anything else? Just because you can't quantify quality or count it as "things" doesn't make it an invalid criticism. Even ignoring that there's still a significant gap in "new things" over time, and that MEA really should have picked up where me3 left off rather than repeating its progression, the quality issue is real. The scrapper is the first character we've gotten with a new power in this game. EVERY new character in me3 had 1-2 new powers until the last pack, and each character had something new and interesting going on even beyond that (eg jetpacks, giant slow dudes that can't be synced, etc.). MEA introduced an UR class with 2/3 powers exactly the same as a COMMON class. And now that the one unique thing it has over that class was nerfed hard (and never really functioned well in lag), the overlap is even worse.

shinobiwan I still disagree with the argument but thank you for at least making one instead of trotting out the same old tired comparisons. There is a qualitative difference (not just quantitative) between the games. We don't know why, for sure, and no Kotaku does NOT count as a source of truth. In some ways I feel sorry for BWE. They are trying to compete with our memories(*) of a game that caught lightning in a bottle: remember that ME3 MP was an afterthought made with (initially) recycled assets after an earlier game design was scrapped -- and yet somehow ME3 MP was a huge success. BWE had to try to repeat that, and by its nature, you can't: you can't set out to catch lightning in a bottle; it just happens sometimes, and no-one knows why. (*) And let's not forget, ME3 MP had plenty of problems at launch and throughout its lifespan that were never fixed. The loss of the old BSN prevents me from pointing to the direct evidence, but trust me, there was at least as much salt in those days as there is now.
