Smores are the most overrated treat ever. I've never had a good one, too sweet, too messy, blech.
Now the individual components of a smores are great and it is hard to understand how graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate could fail but these things do fail big time.

Here we go. The Halo show is cliche, ridden with cardboard characterizations, and dulkl. The special effects are run of the mill for the time and everything that happens can be predicted by a not overly bright eight year old. Honestly, the show would have improved tenfold if the mysterious alien McGuffin had turned everyone into penguins or even puffins. I will never get that time back. #regrets I never watched it. (Thank Oldin for YouTube reviews), so you get a like for having to suffer watching that pile of garbage. 👍 #thepainisovernow.

When it comes to mechs anything over 15-20 feet which is also holding a mech-sized gun or sword in it's hands instantly looks really dumb and wildly impractical in my eyes. But, anything under that size is just an exo-suit and so doesn't suffer the stigma of stupidity at holding an external upscaled weapon it's hands. My palette for giant robots is very particular.

The idea of big mechs being stupid but smaller ones being a much more practical idea isn't a new thing. Only thing you said that seems odd is the 15-20 foot (4-5 metres) scale.
That still seems pretty big.
If you'd said 2-4 metres (6-13 foot), you'd be right in the range where a mech could be made smaller and more agile than a tank or APC, but also bigger and more powerful than power armour. Something hefty enouth to facetank small arms fire in FIBUA and carry support weapons so the door kickers don't have to lug it about, but also less of a missile magnet than a tank and less limited in where it can go.
Think I get the gist of your preference tho. A smaller mech being "worn" like a suit seems natural, so handheld weapons fit in with that.
Big ones look like they'd be controlled like a vehicle, so I'd expect their weapons to be mounted to it if they were real.

Exactly the smaller and more human-sized the best. The biggest I am willing to see with handhold weapons is 15 -20 feet, though the only reason I am willing to go up that high was because Titanfall 2 was around that scale. And that game somehow managed to convince my brain that this was acceptable whereas settings like Gundum don't get a pass

Biggest ones were only about 7.5 meters but most are between 4-5 meters. But still had a cockpit so wasn’t an exo-suit.

Those would be fine, especially since they are very bulky and appear to not be something that would be doing backflips down the highway. Also, as a general rule of thumb for my own internal rules: A single pilot in a humanoid mech = acceptable (within limits) Multiple pilots in a humanoid mech = ridiculous. Needless to say Voltron is out for me Edit: If you are going to have a crew operating a walker together than it definitely shouldn't be humanoid; let alone something with hands holding scaled up external weapons. Now something like this for a mech crew? That I can get behind.

1.2 million people, a very large part of them children, are killed or seriously injured by electricity every year (world). The total number of people who are affected by some kind of electrocution is unknown, but certainly many millions. Yet, as politicians and profiteering manufacturers of electrical machines and appliances, continue to sanctimoniously and ineffectively give speeches on electrical "safety", and the number of regulations and laws increase, the number of killed continues to rise every year. And we're not even talking about the additional 24,000 who are killed by lightning every year. (Where is UN on this?) Further: The overwhelmingly biggest part of electricity is produced by coal burning powerplants, contributing to CO2 and global warming. An additional 12,000 people are killed in coal mining accidents every year. - Ban all electricity NOW! ( And as for that electricity that drives heart & lung machines, Nintendo games and provides reading light for students late at night, - go talk about that, to the parents of the two-year old who got killed by a toaster! )

I dunno, I quite enjoy living in Australia where strict laws mean I can go about my business at no significant risk of being electrocuted and we haven't had a mass electrocution since 1996.

Just use drones to deliver food and necessary goods, VR for social interactions, we have the technology already. I think we have waited long enough, its time to act, its time to think about our children, we owe them a safe world where traffic accidents, or any tragedies caused by direct interaction with other people are no longer a threat! *tears up and hits desk with fist*

A fountain pen is (or we should maybe say: can be, to use more exact language) a much more comfortable, practical, reliable, versatile and trouble free writing tool than ballpoint pens and pencils, for anyone that use pen and paper on regular basis.

KOTOR 2 is a highly overrated game that basically railroads you the entire game with a plot that literally makes no sense when you stop and think about the words characters actually say, even accounting for the restoration patch.

Well, It's not really my style (I like to think) to debate things in "Unpopular opinions". It is what it is. 🙄 And in this case I wouldn't even be doing it in good faith, 😏 if I did. But I think that a small bit of information might be included. I just got the urge to check. - No one knows! Only those who commit suicide by electrocution are counted in Australia. There doesn't seem to be any other valid statistics.

What a welcoming community Halo fans are. But yeah an unpopular opinion is that I don't think the show was bad at all.
