That is pretty well exactly correct. Back in my younger days of gaming I'd probably really like the game a lot. These days I don't have the patience to bang my head against the wall for 50 deaths trying to beat some boss that I am not ready for.

I guess I disagree. I seem to like even sillier live action than that Xena, for one. Hey I could totally get behind Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. But it's not the same thing. Like I said, even though we had gods and demigods and really bad CGI mythical beasts, we were still dealing with people. I don't expect to convince anyone. I'm just happy people aren't foaming at the mouth over this. Though it has only been 30 min... I found Princess Bride to be overrated. Same with The Neverending Story. I liked The Dark Crystal, but it was all puppets, there was no people/CGI combination.

Sounds like you could use some Lots of people play through with a partner. It eases the difficulty considerably, but still lets you enjoy the game for the most part.

I don;t know anyone else who plays the game, that being DS 2 I don;t have 3. I tried the option to join or have someone join you and the guy just appeared to be trolling me. Lots of people love the game, just not my cup of tea.

Most modern American comedy films are bad, and the British often do it better.

I have to agree with you...especially when you're just an observer. The game play looks ok, but there's no story to it and it's a bore. I have been sitting through at least 5 plays per game of Dark Souls 1, 2 & 3 while my roommate has been playing it since June. OMG, what a snore. Dark Souls have always had a really in depth and wonderfully satisfying storyline. However unlike most other games you have to look a little deeper to find it, which is what makes it so rewarding and beautiful at the same time. The gameplay is also of similar design in that the basics are simple to pick up but once you get into it, the gameplay mechanics have so much depth to them, especially the pvp. I understand if people hate the series, it's not for everyone after all. But to judge something by just casual observation wouldn't be very wise without trying it out yourself.

Watching the roommate play the game over and over, cussing and cursing and blowing almost violent hissy fits has kind of soured me to the game. I might have had a different opinion of it if I had been the one playing it, but the amount of hours I've seen put into it, over and over again, starting from 7-8 am to 8-9 pm...it just got to be too much. The second one was probably the best of the 3 though, it had some pretty scenery. Now the roommate's onto his 3rd or fourth playthrough of Lords of the Fallen...yay.... (not really) He's just hogging the console so I can't play DA, I just know it, but it's his system and tv so..I can't really complain.

As for this:The thing about the Souls series is that for the most part, things are not told to you as a narrative. The manner of storytelling is more akin to poetry. Detailed, but obscure glimpses into a greater picture that communicates some underlying theme. Loneliness, loss, hope, despair, sacrifice, etc. There are many layers and interpretations to things that you have to work for (or have lore-obsessed members of the community work out for you).

I like Bloodborne better than Dark Souls. The Dark Souls series are some of my favourite games, it just doesn't have the Threaded Cane.

I think my favorite spot in DS2 was the ruins on the ocean . And from what I've been able to piece together, the story could be interesting, I just had a hard time getting into it as an observer and not a player.

I quite enjoyed most of the Transformers movies. Also, since every country and every damn person everywhere seems to insist on talking about American politics, I just say I'd be with Trump. Surprisingly nobody bothers to bring up the topic again afterwards.

Unpopular opinion: cycling is more awesome than running. With a bike you can cover much more distance than you ever could with your feet alone, same with speed, you can achieve much higher velocities with the bicycle. Next is going downhill, running downhill sucks, going downhill on a bike is super awesome. The high average speed of a bicycle results in a better cooling effect which is a great aid in summer. A bicycle is a nice hobby because you can make cool upgrades and tune it to make it faster. And last but not least cycling is a low impact sport which saves your knees, back and face (google runners face). Which is great for people who have back and knee problems, or a saggy face (LOL).
Don't get me wrong, running is great and everyone should do it, just like cycling. But I find cycling better.

I did a lot of spring running when I was younger and played a lot of sports but never jogged.

I just finished watching a 2016 New York Comic Con cosplay video and can now honestly state, with authority, the cosplay at DragonCon is better than any Comic Con. The only cosplay that comes close are the Russians. Of course, all cosplay is super awesome. But Dragoncon cosplay is the super awesomest.
