The unpopular opinions thread.

Uh! I always go back and forth on this one. They're both so cool in their own way. I love the bad ass Predator attitude, but I also love the sleek look of Alien...  I think they're equal in appeal, just for different reasons, though.

I'm 5'10 and I think 5'11 and taller girls are monster-tier.

I think X-Men Apocalypse is the second best film in the franchise after First Class. I think that DoFP is hot garbage, with Quicksilver as its only real high point.

Blink was underutilized. Her power was cool, but a lot of the characters in the future did nothing but fight sentinels. She didn't really have much of a character. I can't really remember if she even said anything in the movie. And then there was yet more Wolverine, a character that I've grown rather tired of. I can't help but wonder how long Kitty Pryde sat there with her time travel power active. You'd think that with the events unfolding in the past as she does this, the effect would be instantaneous in the future, but if it's not instantaneous, would she be sitting there for days?

Blink was indeed underutilized. In fact I'm certain that unless they can regenerate/reattach lost limbs like Nimrod in the 90s show or the comics Blink could've solo'd the sentinels via Portal Cuts. And I agree the future characters were underutilized as well (especially Ian McKellan) but it was nice to see them again. Check out the Rogue cut, there's more scenes in the future (including, obviously Rogue). Blink doesn't actually speak in the theatrical cut, mostly due the fact that the actress Fan Bingbing actually couldn't speak English very well at the time. In the Rogue Cut she does have one line along the lines of "time to go" but it's dubbed.

As for the timey whimey stuff, it's explained that the new timeline takes hold only when the traveler wakes up. There's also no real correlation between how long Kitty holds them in flux vs how far back they travel or how long they stay. Consider in the initial scene she had maybe a few minutes to hold Bishop so he can warn the rest to GTFO however long ago in the past; but presumably it would take them longer than a few minutes to pack up and leave "like they were never there" in the past. Also the Rogue Cut kinda deals with this too...

Aye, right. Average women are 5'3"-5'4" here. But the real problem is 2/3 to 3/4 of them are "ugly". In the Europe or even in East Asia about 1/2 of women are beautiful imo.

You should use a tape measure, so you can accurately judge girth as well.

It's important.  Or so I tell myself.
