DA fan gives ME:A a second chance (Text Based Let's Play)

I did try. I killed a lot of respawn remnant while making little to no dent in the mech's shields. But after 20 minutes of that, I was done. There was no skill to it, just persistence and I had limited gaming time.

I did, too. I thought it felt very "Mass Effect." 

I just made Ghost X5 with the disruptor ammo augmentation which gives 25% + damage for disruptor ammo and it totally rocks!!!!! 

Oh, well. I loved Reyes romance, that's just the thing I go for -flirts during the actions. Also, I love it that the romance timing is all user driven as you can always delay his next quest. I had the most awesome time playing a Ryder who ran away from his feelings only to be drawn to a Kadara again.  I was even toying with making Hawke Ryder before I got sucked into MP.


But glad you are enjoying the game otherwise!

Oh, I am sure he's not that popular he's just happens to be an exact match to what I want to see in my video-game romances, and rarely have a chance to experience,  so I am curious.

It kinda doe feel you are playing fast.

You do play fast It might feel to you like you aren't because it's such a massive game, and it seems like you're trying to do everything.

Well. I'm learning more about myself as a gamer. Dragon Age made me think that if the game was good enough, I would replay and be able to do everything I didn't do the first time in a 2nd run through. DAO, I played Tabris, then literally started up a 2nd game as Cousland doing all the things. That was 120 hours of DAO in a row. So, I thought, ya know, that must be my thing. And other people talk about doing that as well; that not doing everything the first game made them enjoy the 2nd round because they still had new content to see. But I've found out that apparently I'm really only going to play Dragon Age Games over and over. The world appeals to me that much.

I played TW3, I definitely didn't do everything, but I guess I did what I wanted to...and feel no great urge to return to the world again. It's on my To Do List to maybe play a 2nd time with some DLC and a different romance but it's very low on the totem pole of my gaming priorities. And I absolute know for certain that if I do ever get around to playing it a second time, there will never be a third. It was a solid well crafted game and world. Doesn't seem to affect my feelings about it.

Then I played ME2/ME3 but I nearly did everything in those games because I knew there was some secret system that, if you didn't, horrible things would happen. So, other than polishing my canon of loving Thane until my Shepard's dying breath (and trying the new content of DLC), there is no purpose in playing that the Trilogy again. Well, I actually like ME3 battle mechanics, so there is that I suppose. It was a solid well crafted game and world. Doesn't seem to affect my feelings about it.

I adored Horizon Zero Dawn for every moment I played it. I was driven to finish it. Totally banked on wanting to jump in again and play a second time. two weeks after finishing it, I booted up my New Game Plus and became listless immediately. I'd done all the starter quests in their entirety my first run, there is no branching story line... so the beginning had no new content. Also, I had the best gear already and I could kill the weaker monsters with a single strike and I was like.   This gives me no enjoyment. And turned it off. Haven't turned it back on since. It's higher on the list of my gaming priorties for a repeat (skipping the new game plus altogether as apparently being OP gives me no pleasure). It was a solid well crafted game and world. Doesn't seem to affect my feelings about it.

What I've learned is that, so far, I only repeat Dragon Age Games. So, if I skip the content now, I'll never see it. There is no later. I also honestly want to give the game my all so that at the end of it, I can debate with the best of them about the content. Where it was weak, where it was strong, etc.

I'm really enjoying MEA, but I don't see myself playing a 2nd time until MEA:2 comes out as a refresher. Now or never, eh?

Speaking of...is there really no way to get a better hamster cage? I tried to carefully google it earlier today with no success.

Do you get cutscenes like in DA2 for Hawke/Dog?
