To me it is the worst part, because:
1) I don't like the exile angle being there in the first place.
2) The exiles are presented very badly. Who recruits thugs for a scientific adventure? The in-game reason why they are acting this way is not convincing.
3) The tasks to resolve the conflict on Kadara shouldn't interest a pathfinder at all.
4) The random encounters with respawning enemies (one of the worst things in the game) are the most unnecessary on Kadara.
5) Plot armor for one of the main characters there.
6) You should work on getting people buying into the Initiative again (because criminals out of the Milky Way are a bad look for the AI), but that isn't brought up anywhere. Not one Angaran tells you that "you gotta solve the problem with your criminals on Kadara if you want our cooperation to work".

I could go on, but I think those points illustrate where I am coming from. I am glad that I can skip most of the nonsense (IMO) there.

Funny sidenote: even though I broke Ven Terev out of prison in my latest playthrough, Sloane Kelly helps me on Meridian. So my headcanon, that the exiles on Kadara come around if they see the good work I do with the vaults, works.

Well! The lack of lock in isn't for lack of trying. *Cries Reyes* and Jaal seems to be slow. can't believe I'm 68 hours into a Bioware game with no lock.

The lock in will happen soon, if that is of any consolation.

Pretty sure all the ship romances lock in after the same quest in the main quest line + the love interest loyalty mission.

Is it 100% locked behind the Kett story line?

I guess the pace has given me time to screw around but at the same time, Peebee wouldn't have happened if I'd gotten more than ahead bump from Jaal right now. Kiss me,Koala man!
