Bioware Austin has often avoided documenting elements of a patch to SWTOR, usually because said changes angered the fanbase. The thing is fans have always been more angry over there about the fact something was omitted from the patch notes than the changes themselves, but Bioware has lied and omitted details in the past. Sure, Austin is a different studio but it's Bioware nonetheless.

I think the size so big because of the engine, from my attempts at modding, you can't just replace one separate file in Frostbite, you'll need to repack whole package.

Going by the info on the DA Wiki, this is the picture I was able to put together...

Patch 1 - (Unknown, assume Day One patch?)
Patch 2 - Tuesday
Patch 3 - (PC Only, no info)
Patch 4 - Tuesday
Patch 5 - Monday
Patch 6 - Monday (Day before Jaws of Hakkon released)
Patch 7 - Monday (Day before Black Emporium released)
Patch 8 - Tuesday
Patch 9 - Monday (Day before The Descent released)
Patch 10 - Wednesday (6 days before Trespasser released)

While there does seem to have been a trend towards Monday patches before a DLC released for DAI, it's already not a perfect rule because of Patch 5, and it's worth noting Jaws of Hakkon was revealed the day before it released, The Descent was revealed 6 days before it released, and Trespasser was revealed 10 days before it released.
