Unfortunately, I lost interest at "Lieutenant Cora Harper."

I'm worried that Cora and Alec will just completely overshadow Ryder. I can't imagine how Ryder could cement himself as a character if Alec hadn't died without them making Alec crazy or something.

Don't know if it means anything or not but...
I checked Amazon's Audible website and it has "Mass Effect Initiation" supposedly available as of 11/6/2017 and "Mass Effect The Lost Ark" available a month later on 12/05/2017. Amazon still shows the paperback placeholder date as of 11/28/2017 though so...this whole thing so wacky...shit

If this was not a confusion, I apologise.

If this was not a confusion, I apologise. No problem. No, I was merely commenting on how the release date for the audio book for"Initiation" and its companion paperback appear to be releasing on separate dates - 11/06/2017 and 11/28/2017 respectively, with a highly anticipated "Lost Ark" book following either a month or week later. Just seems that, although we will be getting these books at some point, their release appears to still be up in the air.

Looks like another book that I will inevitably pick up. What any of this says DLC-wise is anyone's guess.

You can order MASS EFFECT INITIATION on Amazon now. Says it'll be available Nov 28 (although not sure that part is correct).

Well, if Nexus Uprising is any indication it may release along side the dlc. Though the dlc will have to come out first though. I will believe it when I see it... Eh, I bought Nexus Uprising. I was deep in MEA hype. MEA SP, MEA MP, MEA novel. I was thinking the DLC would release sparingly enough to keep me hooked. MEA SP runs with MP games, while having a novel to read. A DLC drops, SP runs again while running MP games, another novel to keep me hooked in the universe. Rinse and repeat until a conclusion to MEA. Then at the point, do the same with Dargon Age until Mass Effect rolls around again. I've done it before. Lol. It might sound crazy but they get money and I get entertainment. I guess the bottom line has finally changed. Without DLC, a prequel story to a game that I've done enough PTs on doesn't seem appetizing to me. Interested but I hope it's good nonetheless. I'm not purchasing it though. Not without a DLC. I'm not protesting but that's my personal choice with my wallet at this point. Before anyone thinks I'm just trying to bash anything.. I've played since before day one with no complaints. Except when update messed up a quest but it was fixed in a week. The patches were really nice as well. I don't know.. I'm just got the Bioware blues...

Well this just gets curiouser and curiouser. Now Titan Books official page has a release date of January 23rd 2018 for 'Initiation': titanbooks.com/mass-effect-initiation-8751/The Google cache for the page dated August 3rd still had the November date, so the change must have gone in under the radar in the meantime. EDIT: Sorry folks, mystery solved. Looks like Australia is the only region currently with the differing release date.

Every Andromeda book or comic seems to contain some plot relating to a dark secret or something about the Andromeda Initiative. Damn, is the organisation really that shady? The shadiest. Even more so than Cerberus it seems. Still clinging to the hope that Jienn Garson and Alec Ryder are alive overseeing the Initiave in hiding, waiting for their would be assassins to reveal themselves. I can't shake the awkard feeling that Alec's death delivered. No body, Cora and the doctor being all evasive when talking about how he died. And this last playthrough I started, I noticed when Scott/Sara is being transported to the Hyperion while having all those flashbacks the doctor clearly says "Come on, we are loosing THEM!" Sure, he could be talking about Ryder and SAM, but if Ryder died, Sam would still be intact in the Hyperion, so who is THEM? Did they transport Alec too and tried to revive him? Did they sneaked him away, as per his instructions and faked his death? Also, the same doctor just arrived on Andromeda and 1 mission in he is already retiring from the pathfnder team? Sounds fishy too. He could have stayed on the Hyperion to secretly oversee Alec's recovery. If they wanted his death to be final they'd just give us a body and be done with it, instead they seem to have gone to some lengths to keep the whole thing a mistery. Alec's body, as bad shape as it might have been in, would still be recovered and given a proper burial with ceremony and stuff. After all he was 2nd in command in the Initiave. They wouldnt leave his body to rot. And as we know, Jienn Garson's body had the face too burnt to be 100% recognazible. Unfortunatly, now that the game has passed to Edmonton, I'm not sure how they will handle it. Maybe they will want to go in a different direction.

Every Andromeda book or comic seems to contain some plot relating to a dark secret or something about the Andromeda Initiative. Damn, is the organisation really that shady? It's called listening to feedback and doing it too late, just as with ME2. BioWare saw reactions stating that Andromeda Initiative is suspect and it makes no sense to join it when 99% of the milky way is unexplored. A lot of people criticized the very foundation of Andromeda just like lots of people criticizes Shepard's lenience of working with Cerberus in ME2, and how did they address it? They downplay it and then pretend these organizations were suspect all along moving onwards.
