No offensive biotics on the warp kits is a tragedy. Juggernaut could potentially be very sturdy even on plat with that massive health pool and stacking DR from two sources - depending on the numbers on the passive of course. But great with a Siphon weapon. Hopefully all of the "Apex training" passives are placeholders that get changed prior to these characters being launched. I just hope they give them all to us in a couple of weeks, even if it is the end...

Re the weapons, I can't help but wonder if part of the reason semi-auto ARs have continued to suck so hard for so long despite so much protest, and despite the strong buffs to many others, is that they've been saving the Saber-analogue role for this new UR. Hope it releases soon, around the time I max the Shorty and tire of it due to overuse.. When I had a look at the datamined files they seemed to indicate that the new AR had some sort of explosive property to it. That should make it unique enough that the other semi-auto rifles can be buffed properly. ...and there we go. I really wish I knew what their issue is with assault rifles vs. pistols. They get it exactly backwards all the time.

It's quite likely that one or all of the following are true.
(1) The designs for the Sovoa and Shilesh were made early in the game's development, before any of the the balance changes we have seen thus far. (2) The stats that have been data-mined do not reflect the actual weapon stats will get upon release. (3) Someone at Bioware hates assault rifles.

Same powers, over and over and over again. How many new powers they introduced so far? 2? Not saying that ME3 didn't have recycling, but they started to implement unique powers for characters, at least one new power used to be the rule. Here I'm seeing the same ones again, and again. To a point that it feels like a randomizer, pick a character and hit that RNGesus wheel to see what he gets.
This is a later installment of the franchise, you'd think they learned form its predecessor. Obviously they didn't, but still. How hard is to create new abilities? 5 of us here can brainstorm for 30 minutes and I can guarantee you we'll get viable powers. But why I am even complaining about a game I don't play anymore... Anyways, I guess the fact that this game has less dev support than ME3 had back then really shows.

Although part of me hopes the thokin-light stays the same or becomes buffed - I don't think the thokin is all that great.

The Shorty got released with significantly better stats then the ones that were datamined. There is hope! Better stats=people want it more=people spending money on Andromeda points it is becoming clear what Bioware has done/are doing dilute the loot pool with a lot of garbage release the best and most powerful stuff late in the game this manipulates noobs to spend money on andromeda points to get the new OP content sooner

Two look interesting by virtue of the unique passives -- movespeed bonus from kills!! Fucking sign me up!! -- and hopefully Warp has been implemented well enough to make the other two strong additions. The saber is already in the game in the form of a sniper rifle just like everything else. Inferno=Saber So much that if the saber was released it would literally be just to have a non inf ammo version of it.

"Sovoa semi-automatic assault rifle, and Silhesh SMG, both ultra rare." Yea! 80 more UR cards!! What an unbelievably sad state of affairs. Just when you think "oh there's no way that they'll release MORE UR weapons after the Shorty AND Batguard, so it's probably safe to spend to try and shoot for variants," not only does Bioware gives us a "nope" but a double "nope." What A bunch Of fucking Transparent Idiots. You know, the best grabs for money are the ones that are subtle. The reverse though is also true: Blatant transparency equivalents are equally stupid. The only players reliable access to any of these variants are the cheaters. That random lobby with a Shorty Siphon X on day one? Hahahahahaha, don't make me laugh.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Snap Freeze + (any detonator power, in this case Shockwave) is a newb trap. Whether intentional or not, it's bad design. Unless you are playing on gold or lower, then it is just explosion extravaganza stress relief. But alas, you are right. It is bad training for plat. You can also still down a Blaze Hydra in 3 to 4 seconds even if you detonate Snapfreeze the moment you glaze it.

Reminds me of a mod I saw once for ME3 that took the blacked-out areas around a scope's zoomed view circle and made it transparent. I think it was on the old-old BSN's projects page but I'm not 100% on that. Be cool if someone made something like that for MEA. Edit: HEYOOOO look what I found www.nexusmods.com/masseffectandromeda/mods/320Edit 2: that mod is busted at the moment, oh well

You can also still down a Blaze Hydra in 3 to 4 seconds even if you detonate Snapfreeze the moment you glaze it. You're saying that the debuff persists after detonation? Or are you saying that you can prime them with snap freeze, have someone else detonate it while you're channeling, then give the chilled, but not frozen, debuff at the end of your channel? The power heavily implies that the target need not be fully iced over to receive the debuff since 5b says it applies to frozen or chilled enemies.

2 Questions:
1. Are there other characters we already have that have built in DR? 2. If the Commando is N7 (Per the armor she wears) Then why does she have APEX training passive and not N7 training as a passive...?

"Human Commando has Singularity, Turbocharge, Warp, Apex Training, Combat Fitness, and Biotic Punch melee; default dash with no DR. 500 Health, 250 Shields"This is a very bizarre set up if you ask me. On 1st look I'd say one point in turbo charge. 1 point in Fitness. Throw Expanding Singularity into a group, Warp Armored target, Biosplosion, pop Turbocharge, max Weapon Passives, melt all the things.
