Nope. Mass Effect is done, let it rest.

Oh yes. Don't give a fuck about reviews though since they are irrelevant.

If I were to do a Mass Effect Andromeda 2, I would do it like this: The Quarian Ark is lost in another sector of Andromeda, and Ryder goes to it's rescue. But something happens and he isn't heard from again. You are the leader of a team whose mission is to explore this other sector and find Ryder and the lost Ark. Ryder's sibling is a companion or a major NPC, to provide major exposition about the previous game. I have no problem with Ryder, I would just use a new character for those players that didn't play the first Andromeda.

I will, I still love this series(as much as I think Andromeda was a mistake), but mostly because I hope they would finally learn from their mistakes and make a really good game.

If they have a new protagonist with the choice of multiple races similar to Dragon Age. Their models on MEAMP shows they are capable of rendering them in cutscenes if they try hard enough. Maybe add customization for head presets for races. It won't be any time soon..

I just think its most appropriate to just reimagine Ryder, further than 'Shepard 2' did (ME2-ME3). Everything from MEA alleges that there's all sorts of journeys we can take Ryder on, and I dislike moving so far away from that as to make it a lie (Hawke for example was different because it was just more of a "lets find missing Hawke" thing already). Years pass, things change, Ryder is different, stuff happened in comics and books that can be noted, explained, or taken in another perspective, and we move on. Albeit with a bigger incentive to reconsider what was tried with MEA instead of more of a doubling-down. I don't, for one example, expect to ride a 'Mako'/Nomad collecting minerals around a terrain, though I do hope we'd get more of a manual ship movements that MEA earlier tried in development, as well as elements of flight (personal or more appealingly vehicular). Weirdly in response to you, I DO have problems with Ryder, but I'd still not prefer a new character over the current one. I think my ideal would be a better Ryder, along with something of the legacy of Shepard and the Milky Way more openly following us (directly or indirectly). If only to symbolize how MEA has been haunted by people's memories still. I think a plot could happen to represent a darker turn to the games even while attempting to keep the dream alive. EDIT: Okay, my FULL ideal is to play as a New Ryder if Human, but have a few other species we could play as, in a story that is relatively less about some Ryder clan (even if with content) and more about a Pathfinder or Something Else role, which includes some species-specific content/context. In any case if a game takes 5+ years (I still want 3-4) anything they do will feel somewhat soft-reboot at minimum. But I think there's a lot they can, and really should keep.

A MEA2 or ME4/ME5 or whatever made by Bioware Edmonton could be great, just using MEA as more of an optional prologue (in a sense) than earlier considered. I want more. I'm just not preordering.

I will absolutely buy Andromeda 2. I will not purchase anything that tries to bring Shepard from the dead again, and mess with ME3 endings. Anyone thinking that Andromeda is going to be completely scraped off for either a return to the OT or a totally different is delusional. Bioware is not going to retcon twice. If they produce the next installment of Mass Effect, it is going to be a sequel to Andromeda. I guarantee it. Critical reception doesn't make developers clean slate their lore.

I wouldn't discount the possibility of the franchise being shelved indefinitely in favor of other projects. I don't really expect it to, but I suppose part of me thinks that it really depends on where Bio goes with Anthem and the next DA.

Thanks to ME:A I will never preorder again in general. For example, before ME:A I was sure I'd preorder Cyberpunk 2077, now I'll probably wait for a discount or something.

MEA is the only game I've ever pre-ordered. I didn't play early access, but decided to get it < 24 hours before actual release.
I'd certainly be interested in reverting some of the combat changes - I want the class system, the power wheel, control of squadmate powers, etc. back, and would be happy if the jump jets went away. I don't know how they'd do that lore-wise at this point, though that hasn't stopped them before.
The only new ME release of interest to me would be a continuance of Ryder & Crew. I'm perfectly happy with my headcanon wrt Shepard's and TMW's future, and would rather they didn't mess with it.
I selected the first option listed. I care about information released by the devs, don't give a crap about reviews.

I'm not preordering since 2006. Back then I got a fundamental turd instead of a game. Thankfully it was still the age of physical copies, so I found some poor sod, paying full price for that masterpiece. Now I've learned the additional lesson of not buying at release. Just wait for the patches to arrive and maybe there's an early sale on the side. Would I have waited only one week with MEA, I would have got it for half of what I paid.

Not pre order has become somewhat of an instinct to me. Like when you have food poisoning from chicken and you get sick when you see a chicken again.
