Was anyone else waiting for DLC to start a new game?

Yup was waiting for that Ark to show up and seeing Quarians in Frostbite but sadly this won't happen and so my new playthough won't happen too. I already 100% the game at the hardest difficulty not much more to do, plus playing MEA now knowing that the game got shafted create a kind of depressing feeling for me. If BW didn't bother to fix the plot-holes why I'm wasting time with it? If they don't respect their creation why should I do that?

I'm quite bitter at the moment so I'll have to see in a year or so how I'll feel about it.

Well... Yes and no, I suppose. I am done with the game after playing it through twice, so assuming I'd do a third it would be after the release of DLC. But I wasn't expecting any to come, so I wasn't really planning on that third run.

Yeah, my plan was to replay once all the DLC was out. I won't be now.

Yeah and now 50/50 whether I leave it installed for a second run or just delete it.

Well - I have been away for a while, and to come back here and see the sad news is not great - To say the least.

I was not exactly "on hold", but had slowed down my 3th playtrough in hope there would be an next little chapter in the story. This news was enough to put the game down for now and wipe it from my HD. It's not that I did not enjoyed the game, because I really was. Only - To know so much of the story-line remains open and stay unresolved for ever, robbed me of the urge to play any further. I mean - What's the point? You can only play two thirds of the story, and that's it. It feels like playing an unfinished game.

I do not feel the need to go back to the OT, because that's a closed book for me. I have played it to death, and that's what it is at this moment - Just something that has died, and I feel no need for necromancy. So - the ME seems to have finished for me for now. Maybe in the far future there will be a ME:A2, but if that will ever happen nobody knows.

Oh yes - There is Anthem in the near future, but I am in no way exited for it. I mean - Everything points to Multiplayer for this game, and I really, really, really hate multiplayer. I am a SP gamer and have been that kind of player all the years I am playing computer/electronic games (for more than 25 years - jeez I feel old now). Yep - I tried multiplayer several times, but hated every minute I played, so that's that. There is a small chance I will buy Anthem, but only if there is a very, very strong SP storyline in it. Otherwise - No go.

That leaves Dragon Age, but that will take years before we will see it.

So - for now there are a few games I am looking forward too in the near future, and sadly none of them are from Bioware. The first one is Elex (yes I liked Gothic too). That one looks cool to me. And there is of course Cyberpunk on the far horizon. Let's hope the story will be as gripping as the other major title from CDPR.

So - that's about it. I was slowing down my playtrough in the hope I could finish the story with the resolving DLC(s), but it makes no sense to play any further now. End of story....

I never wait for expanded content to start a new game, but then the last time I got DLC for a BioWare game, I saved it all for post-campaign play anyway with Inquisition. Having JoH, Descent and Trespasser all together was like having a mini sequel all clustered together.

No, not really. The question of dlc/no-dlc would never have any impact on me starting a PT. The story is long and fullfilling enough as it is. I will be playing this game on and off for years to come. My current PT with Scott is nearing the end-run. It will be great this timew as well.

But today I'm going to attack Portugal in another gaming universe.

I was going to do another PT if they released a DLC but I kinda knew they wouldn't and I have no desire to play it now since people who made it doesn't care about it anymore.

No, as I already have the platinum trophy. However, their going to have to confirm a sequel is in the works for me to do more playthrough. Since I've done all of the choices, most of the romances I have no desire right now to do another. With Anthem and DA4 in the works the likely hood a new game is years away. Though, its more likely that Anthem 2 will get a sequel for M.E.

Probably slowly finish this playthrough and that will be it.
At least there's no time pressure, I spend most of my time taking screenshots.

no but then I don't count on DLC always coming anyway as I kind of think if it happens it happens if not then so be it. I'm currently wrapping up my latest run of the trilogy but after that I plan to turn my focus to my F1 games and get some practice in before F1 2017 launches on Friday. So really that's my focus now. I've still got Ryders planned and I still enjoy the game so I'll still play it just won't be with DLC is all.

I was definitely waiting for DLC to do one final playthrough. Seeing as that's not happening, I'll probably still play it just so I can see what it's like on patch 1.09 and maybe get that elusive 100% completion
