One of the best YouTubers out there, although he didn't say anything new, people just can't hear any analysis that doesn't fit their view. That doesn't apply to me, and I imagine that it's equally untrue of some others on this forum. This particular video just wasn't very good, in my opinion. I often enjoy dissenting views. This one, though, just wasn't well presented. Contrast this with the lengthy two-part analysis posted in another thread. While those were likely longer than they needed to be, they were well executed and unbiased in presentation. There's no bias here, though. He never said Andromeda was a bad game. He will only be biased if he doesn't praise the game's to heaven, I suppose? Problem is there's not much praise to be found. He did a good overview of the while thing. If you're interested in an even deeper analysis, check "Ryder's Block" on YouTube. Speaking of the quest itself in the game, still can't understand how that got approved, locking a much more interesting storyline behind some fetch quest of collecting non-sensical lights throughout the planets. BioWare, why.

One of the best YouTubers out there, although he didn't say anything new, people just can't hear any analysis that doesn't fit their view. If you wanted to con people out of their money, would you make waves via early access, at a time when people still could cancel their preorders based on what they saw or heard? Before the professional reviewers even had a chance to comment? That doesn't make sense to me if the only project was to cash in as quick and complete as possible. That's the problem I have with this vid. The whole Origin Access promotion was the equivalent of fucking themselves over with a sordid lead pipe. Not a clever ploy. EA knew diehards would buy the game regardless. Snagging EA Access sign ups that then might try other EA games - it's smart marketing. That, and a lot of people forget to cancel and get dinged for months without realizing it.

At the least...pull back from my job and do it full time. Wanting to comfortably survive as a human being on Earth in the only economic system made available to you and do what you love at the same time is not being "in it" for the money. The money is not valuable in itself but gets you food, shelter, healthcare, basic access to society and modern life so that you don't unnecessarily suffer, die, or lose your mind. Meanwhile there are people who do live to make money (so they can build their net worth, have as much luxury and power as humanly possible, create dynasties for their families, be the "global elite"...). EA executive lifestyles are not comparable. tbh I feel legitimately sick that my buying their games contributes to that shit.

This so much......I would rather be on beach somewhere with the wifey sipping on a umbrella drink watching my sexy ass wife prance around in her bikini.... ,.....but Sheeit...i got a mortgage, car notes, and bills in general....yeah we are all in it for the money....if i was that lady that just won that 700 million dollar powerball?.... ......i'd create a smelly brown chocolate sundae on my desktop with a cherry on top and say that was my two week notice.... ....... Seriously tho...the simple fact is that you basically need money to survive or to live somewhat comfortably...

But, do you really argue with that synopsis? Yup. I don't hate EA they've funded some of my favorite games. But like any company they are in it to make money. They maybe made some mistakes but it is not all in them or Bioware. Like it or not done of us as well as the so called professional critics are responsible as well. They have made good developers *poof* disappear. Fuck EA, they are not a company worth supporting, and yes I too have enjoyed a few of there titles over the years, including ME2 & 3, Madden, and a few others. Look at the big picture and that enjoyment of those few games is insignificant to the damage they have done to our hobby as a whole. If you don't see this, I simply do not know what else to say to you.

YouTubers are having a field day with this aren't they.😑 Out of a budget of $120 for cable turned to non-cable patron recipients: I moved $96 back into my pocket and now support just a handful of artists. Anyone that has mentioned SJW as a reason... I revoked my patronage. I couldn't do this with cable, but I can do this with YouTube. I'm also wondering if BioFan is going to produce another video.

We are all in it for the money. Money is a key for survival in the modern world. Unless you're an Alaskan in the far reaches, money is paramount. It's just some put so little value in it because they blow through so much of it that we're just enablers for bad behavior. Hellblade: $30 on Steam. AAA quality. 8 hours long. Properly priced. Contender for GOTY. It's too short for most critics, but holy cow... well-executed. The Order: $70 at launch. AAA quality. 8 hours long. Crappily priced. Andromeda: $90 at launch. AAA quality after 1.09. 100 + hours long. Overpriced at launch. Worth the price of admission at 1.09. That's my perspective.

BioWare, why. I think I have seen "Ryder's Block". I've watched so many that it's hard to remember; but it's in my YouTube history. I think the guy was biased. He started out trying to contain it, but it pretty quickly bubbled to the surface. It's fine that he doesn't like the game. I understand that. He doesn't do a good job of keeping that out of his presentation, though. I also think his assessment t is ridiculous, in some respects. Sure EA tries to lock up as many dollars as possible, as quickly as possible. The idea that they knew MEA would bomb, though, and planned for it? Silly. I agree with you that the game shouldn't have been given a pass. It wasn't ready in so many ways. It definitely shouldn't have been released in the state in which it was.

Mirror Mirror said EA has harmed the video game industry. That's a fact. There is a long list of companies and franchises EA ran to the ground. But it's hard to see this when looking at that impressive strawman, though.

And no, most opinions are not selfish. Depends on the brain and maturity of the individual, perhaps. I certainly value some opinions nearly as mich as proof, because these sources have been reliable.
All opinions are an expression of self. Do you see the difference?
