As I said in the other thread, this video is pure speculation and doesn't hold water. If they were convinced of having a bad product, why the Origin promotion before the official release date? At that point in time preorders could still be cancelled.

This video sucks. It offers nothing new, and doesn't even try to take an unbiased stance. I've enjoyed some of the criticism/analysis videos, but this one is 💩.

Yep.  These videos will get a few flicks and make a few bucks but gives me the option of classifying them as "those YouTubers are money grabbing douchebags and I hate them."

I wonder if people will ever treat Valve this way since they promised three DLC for Half-Life 2, only released two and the second one was a year late and still haven't completed the story after a decade. Nah, what I am thinking that is Valve they can slap a player's face and then they will thank Valve for the spa treatment.

Right, that is what made me think of that.  The catch is that he no longer works for Valve and it was 10 years after the release of the second of the three episodes.  I have read the only reason why it happened now is because there was a 10 year NDA attached to the game, but that is speculation for I cannot find a way to confirm it.  They left it on a cliff hanger and people want a conclusion, but I don't see the hatred aimed at Valve for stringing us a long for a decade by saying nothing about it, Gabe even has a "no Half Life 3" rule for his AMA's.  Just seems like if you are going to crap all over a company for doing one thing, it should be done equally across all companies.

I agree with this....and while i do agree with some of the vids statements....i don't think EA was thinking they was going to take the money and run, knowing Andromeda was a bad game (Andromeda is not bad by any means). As i've stated in other similar threads....the game needed to be in EA's fiscal year and so ready or not they made the decision to release it in the form that it was in and it was the s**tstorm/damage control that ensued afterwards.

If you wanted to con people out of their money, would you make waves via early access, at a time when people still could cancel their preorders based on what they saw or heard? Before the professional reviewers even had a chance to comment?

That doesn't make sense to me if the only project was to cash in as quick and complete as possible.

That's the problem I have with this vid. The whole Origin Access promotion was the equivalent of fucking themselves over with a sordid lead pipe. Not a clever ploy.

Yup. I don't hate EA they've funded some of my favorite games. But like any company they are in it to make money. They maybe made some mistakes but it is not all in them or Bioware. Like it or not done of us as well as the so called professional critics are responsible as well.
