Dude, you started your own thread here bsn.boards.net/thread/6151/multiplayer-matchmaking-region-locked-time?page=1asking about region locks on MEAMP. Everyone said there is no region lock. But, you came on to this thread and mentioned that its region locked. Hence, i concluded that you were making it up for the sake of your pro ME3 argument. Let me second what everyone else told ya on your own thread. There is NO region lock. Dude, that was quite a while ago before I even started playing MEAMP, a time when Human Soldier still caused CTD irrc. Since then I've played the game long enough (almost too long if you see my APEX rating) to draw my own conclusion. I don't want to sound blaming so I didn't start another thread, but you guys did not really have a clue about what region lock I was talking about. From the info I've gathered so far, the matchmaking in MEA is split into at least two regions: Asia Pacific and America/EU (just a speculation based on facts, should I say), the latter region has a relatively large player base so some of you guys haven't noticed the region lock yet. But most players in the AP zone I've played with agreed that game is region-locked, because we are paired with the same group of people almost every round, if not ending up in own lobby. The fact that AP MEA community is already a ghosttown makes this very obvious to spot. This is the same case that killed the DAIMP Asian community. I guess it's rather a smart move for BioWare to avoid more netcode critics by sacrificing a minority community (again, my speculation), but it just makes them more hypocritical imo when they boast diversity and fancy ideas. You have no concrete proof of this. I would think Europe is lumped with both North America and Asia Pacific based on its geographical location. But, even if Bioware isolated the Asia Pacific community, its a good thing because, i sure as hell don't wanna deal with some guy hosting from Australia (infuriating/impossible to play, done that before) or China with the laggiest connection on earth. Its not beacause Bioware's made up of xenophobes, but, its a matter of practicality when considering the limitations of data transfer speeds. The Asia Pacific Region is quite heavily populated. So do the following. a) Go door to door a.k.a, pull yourself away from your PC and talk to all your friends about how fking amazing MEAMP is. Make a lotta new friends in China, Australia, India, Korea, etc... c) If you did that just right, the North America/South America community will be a minority community and you will be the majority. We will be making the same complaints after that. d) Or here's a better idea. You guys are very software savvy. Why don't you guys develop some cool Co-op games? If we get hooked to them, you may have turned the table on us. haha But seriously, there is plenty of R&D work going on to ease these speed limitations. It should only get better in the next 5 to 10 years. I've played with quite a few elite players from the Asia Pacific area (Korea & Japan, to be precise) on a couple of games I used to play competitively. For instance, If they'd come to compete with SonicFox who's considered the Mortal Kombat X God in MKX tournies (only 200K green for the winner!), he would have been betchslapped all the way to China town. P.S Again, ask Bioware to combine the player pools from PC, PS4 and Xbox. That may be the quickest/easiest solution.
