I'd love this to be explored, and also to see this under-served-in-video-games demographic represented. There is no shame in submission, regardless of gender, and that message isn't said to men often enough. Whereas 50 Shades gets sequels. I agree. Which is why I brought it up in the first place, and why I keep hoping for the borderline barbarian Tal Vashoth woman. That said, I wasn't a huge fan of how they handled the whole "Dom" thing with Iron Bull.

That said, I wasn't a huge fan of how they handled the whole "Dom" thing with Iron Bull. I have been able to channel all sorts of personalities since starting to roleplay in Bioware games, but a submissive person isn't one of them. I tried, once, to even go through the full conversation discussing the BDSM requirements with Bull and got such a "ABSOLUTELY NOT" gut reaction to it. I feel I'm biased against it, because it is the opposite of anything I'd enjoy. I know I recall disliking that, if you really explore all the branches of dialogue before finally calling a no, Bull makes an irritated grunt. Which threw even more red flags for me, considering everyone had gone on and on about how he took "No" like a laidback champ. What did you dislike?

Which is why I brought it up in the first place, and why I keep hoping for the borderline barbarian Tal Vashoth woman. I was confused by this, but now I understand. You mean you want a Female Dom Character so you can play a het male sub. I suppose I was opting for something more different than DAI offered in that I would like to practice a DSM relationship where my character is recognized as the Dom of the two. As of right now, the closest I can get is that possibly Dorian likes things to run that direction, but he hasn't mentioned it to my Inky, whereas he seems to adore it with Bull. So I don't know if that means Bull insisted on it, as he does with Inky, and so Dorian gives it a try? Or if Dorian naturaly swings that way in the bedroom?

Kind of hard to predict this kind of thing right? I mean, who was able to predict all the romances in Inquisition?

A lot. Some of what you said. But ultimately the fact that he says something to the effect of "I know what you want more than you do." That disturbs me in a way that made me deeply regret finishing the romance. In fact I literally go out of may way to make sure the Bull/Dorian romance doesn't trigger, because of how weird and rape-y it seems.

"I know what you want more than you do." I know, it's skeevy skeevy and so assumptive He's put forth as this guy that can see inside your head. So if you use the heart option once or twice, just being a caring person, and then he shows up in your bedroom and you tell him to GTFO, what does that even mean? That you're submissive and in denial or that he's actually not that great at seeing into people's heads?

I'm of the opinion that Iron Bull isn't as good at getting into peoples heads as he thinks he is. Its like I said, I just have some serious issues with how they handled his romance. That's not to say I dont want a dominant character at all, I just think it could be handled better.

IF they'd given Cora long hair, she may have fallen into Generically Pretty as well. Asari commandos don't have long hair. In fact I'm surprised she hasn't surgically attached hair tentacles to her scalp.

Maevaris - Not having her would be a waste of an amazing opportunity to have a trans romance in their games. I thought Maevaris was already in a relationship? I haven't read any of the books or comics though, so maybe she is single at this point? I agree she should show up though. From what I've heard of her she seems pretty cool. Maevaris was married to Varric's cousin, but he died leaving her as a widow.

The games reference them enough that I'm probably missing a bunch of stuff.

They only explain why Loghain's so paranoid, why King Marric left Fereldan, who Alistair's mother is, why Wynne will never show up again, what really started the Templar war, why Rhy and Cole have a rocky distant relationship, and what the hell is going down at the Winter Palace. Why anyone would care about Mihris in the Hinterlands, what a cold blooded murderer Solas is that he hides with flowery words, why Imshael is the best villain that has ever been killed in a lame ass mini boss fight.... and a hundred other things. Just that.

why Imshael is the best villain that has ever been killed in a lame ass mini boss fight To be fair, he got about as much time as Gaxkang, and probably more than Xebenkeck. So pretty par for the course, really.

So pretty par for the course, really. I guess because we actually got more of his story inside of a book, I really wanted to interact with his character more. He's chaotic evil, as opposed to all these "I have grand organized plans for this world." Gaxkang was kinda cool in a intense serial killer kinda way. Wasn't Xebenkeck in DA2 MOTA and he's just literally a scary ghost thing with no story?

I don't mind it as long as the game does a good job of giving the player any relevant background to the situation. But with say, Celene and Briala, the player only understands how messed up they are if they read the Masked Empire. I guess you can argue that the inquisitor wouldn't have that info anyway, but it still feels kinda cheap imo.
