I have a Core i7 third generation with 16GB RAM and a Radeon RX 460 2GB as graphics card. Good for running the game at medium resolution, with blur and tesselation disabled. MEA patched to version 1.10
I know many don't have too much problems with the game. Since I started playing MEA from patch 1.09 I didn't experienced black screens, ghost characters or anything like that, the game runs smoother. Except I have the dreadful mouse pointer bug.
The mouse cursor simply stays fixed at the middle of the screen. It doesn't matter if it's cutscenes, combat or conversations. In combat I can fix this by calling the wheel and moving the mouse cursor to the edge of the screen. Sometimes even walking around the Nexus bring the bug out, I have to press "esc" for calling a menu and then moving the pointer to the edge of the screen.
The worse is when this happens in conversations or cutscenes, since you can't call the menu.
I don't have any background programs running, only the Radeon software and antivirus. I disabled both of them to no avail. I also don't run Reshade or anything like it.
Anyone that have or had this bug has found a solution? I tried searching around but those who have this problem also couldn't fix it.
Is damn annoying and a immersion breaker.

I think it's one of those that are never getting really fixed, though as of 1.09 (I think) it got a lot less common in my opinion.
Good news is, usually I don't even need to move the mouse anyhow. Just toggling the pause menu (btw, did anyone ever notice it's shaped a bit like an omni-tool?) works most of the time. And if yours is not overheating and isn't positively ancient by PC standarts (to be honest, I got no idea which one's the third gen, though I'd wager the 2000-series) it should work even better and faster than mine.

It happens to me occasionally. It is simple to fix for me however... I run MEA in window-mode. So when the issue shows up I just click on the desktop or push the windows button on my keyboard. This usually -at least in my case -unlocks the mouse lock on the MEA window. I then re-click the MEA window and the mouse disappears and the game goes back to normal.
You could also set the conversation responses to keyboard inputs so even with mouse locked there it would still function. Alas though I digress you probably just want it out of the way...

This is one bug I've never experienced. Might it have something to do with your mouse software (assuming you're using it)? If that is the case I'd toy around with the drivers a bit. I run a g700s with the logitech software.

I used to have thig bug when I started using ReShade. I'm not sure anymore if I did anything extra, but I'm running the game as admin and in windowed mode. Maybe that can help.

Urgh, windows mode. The frame rate really drop when I've tried to use it, the game automatically switch to 720p with sluggish performance specially on planets. In fullscreen this doesn't happen. It was the first solution I've tried. I have a Logitech G203, but I don't use the software, just the drivers. In any case I've tried to use it and toy with the settings, but didn't worked. The thing is the bug is random, sometimes I've got it right when loading a level, sometimes not. Well, back to trial and error...

What's your Windows edition? I have Windows 7 and I have this bug, though not as often as you. Some people have been able to solve it by using Windows 8 compatibility mode when they have Windows 10. Obviously won't help if you have Windows 7. You could try exiting to desktop and alt tabbing back into the game, not clicking with the mouse on the game window. But this is a poor solution in the middle of a cutscene because you'll miss part of the cutscene... Then there is this: pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Mass_Effect:_Andromeda#Mouse_cursor_permanently_visible_and_stuck_at_center_of_screen_when_not_in_useI have to say, I'm not sure whether you should trust Special K, I have no idea what it is exactly, but maybe you understand better and it could work...

Though alt-tabbing works for some I think he may consider it immersion breaking... Though to resolve this -some immersion breaking may be necessary. Also alt-tabbing does not always work for everyone -if running full screen. Like if I run full screen and alt-tab the screen flashes to black and stays that way. Strange. If I run in a window it will Alt-tab till the end of the world. Anyway whatever works ... I will take it.

It happened to me a lot too. Usually when I minimized the game through alt+tab, when I would return, that damn mouse cursor would be there.
But just like you said, pause menu solves it.

That plus the processor and graphics card probably the reason I have such strange issues. Strange issues that never seem the same as problems others have maybe because I run AMD & Nvidia... Unlike those who run Intel & Nvidia or AMD & ATI. I doubt it but it is still a possibility... probably. OP are you running on windows 7? I have found (in a very limited group) that people has this issue more often on Windows 7. Happens just as often on Windows 10...sometimes... Every. Single. Time.

Maybe this then?
Go into Andromeda's launch options on Origin, which can be found at Origin -> My Game Library -> Right click Andromeda -> Game properties -> Advanced Launch Options.
From here, in the Command line argument space, type "-nocursor" (no quotations).

Another way to kill my game ... now got to reinstall the game from backup and then validate & repair through Origin...again. Just great...Ugh! I guess I will never understand why Origin is so touchy on my system. EDIT: Ugh. So I'm on Win7x64. Maybe widescreen (16:9/16:10) versus normal (4:3) causes this? Seems doubtful ... yet so far forcing the game to 1280x 960 has not seen the cursor show up yet...be it five minutes yet.

Happens to me all the time. Usually resolved by hitting Esc. It can happen at any time, though - including the middle of an in-engine cutscene. (Yes, I'm running Win7 x64.)

For those asking, I'm using Windows 7 64bits. After a ton of trials I disabled Vsync and Triple Buffer and it worked! Strange thing, disabling only one of the settings only works for a time, then the damned cursor returns. Disabling the two makes the cursor works as I think it should, only in the conversations. My card is a Radeon RX 460 and I checked the settings in Radeon software, the global settings are configured to let the application set it, specially buffer(s), vsync, anti-alising and aniso filters. Also I didn't used the game/card profiles. Don't know why this happened, it's the first time I have this type of problem in a game. Anyway, thank you all for the suggestions.
