I got to go with Mass Effect 3. It has a nice big deep weapons roster and great armor options weather you want the customizable interchangable armor sets or the non customizable sets there are plenty of options including nice head gear options. MEA has some nice armor options but they are limited since it is either helmet or not helmet and has no visor options. I felt ME 3 had more options. Also while there are some cool new weapon options it is missing many of my old favorites from ME 3. ME 2 is kind of made irrelevant in this regard by ME 3 because all of the ME 2 stuff is in ME 3 anyway. ME 1 has generic stuff though I do like it's overall aesthetic.

It's a hard choice between ME2 and ME3 but I have to go with ME2. They messed with too many of the weapons that I loved in ME3 by making them smaller or weaker overall. Those being...
-Claymore (I loved the larger ME2 version much better)
-Geth Plasma Shotgun (Just didn't have the punch it use to)
-Mattock (Felt ALOT weaker in ME3)
These weapons were always a staple in any of my builds.

It’s a tough race between ME3 and MEA for me. I love the Mattock and GPS and to a lesser extent the Locust in ME2, but in terms of overall variety of its weapon roster and armor options, frankly, it ain’t got shit. ME3 is a space marine gun nut paradise by comparison. I love the weapons I can equip on companions(James with Typhoon or Garrus with Black Widow) and I have my beloved Harrier. MEA’s crafting system’s won me over, but the fact that companions cannot be equipped with gear of your choosing makes ME3 the winner. In terms of armor, I prefer MEA overall with ME3 rounding a close second. I’m not a fan of the leotards of 1, and I hate anything other than the standard N7 armor in ME2.

I'd also like to add... For the love of whatever god you pray to Bioware please stop giving us predefined stat armor. Just give me a zero stat armor set that I can mold to my liking...

I find that customization is hamstrung in all 4 Mass Effect games by tying your appearance to stats. You might like the look of that one armour, but the one you don't like has vastly superior stats for your build so now you have to choose.
Andromeda was set up to actually break that if it had let us craft armour with stats independent of the appearance of the armour, but unfortunately they stuck with the predefined stats.
Beyond that I actually do like the look of the armours in ME:A. It feels a lot more varied than ME2 or 3's armour appearances.

For me, it's a split between ME3 and MEA. Though nothing has ever quite topped my ME3 Vanguard Shepard with a Talon V pistol.

MEA - Mawerick and Heleus Defender Armor, most Remnant/Heleus/Milky Way weapons, with added customizations and crafting, MEA is the winner here. On the contrary there is a bit loot grinding because you got to sell any salvage and useless stuff so you can buy the important stuff for crafting. This is a win-win, but still i prefer this over ME3 where you got to reach specific mission in the game to collect a piece of armor or collect the weapon.
ME3 - Cerberus Nightmare/Spirit/Shade Armor, Arc Pistol, Talon, N7 Hurricane, N7 Valiant, Krysae Sniper Rifle, Reegar Carbine, N7-Piranha, Cerberus Harrier, Kishock Harpoon Gun, N7 Typhoon, Acolyte, Venom, Claymore, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Javelin, Wraith.
ME1 and 2 got no chance by me compared to ME3 and MEA.

I picked ME3 just because: M-7 Lancer: My favorite gun in Mass effect to date. And Blood Dragon Armor: I like the look and the description behind it. Also, with Vanguard I can pretend to be a charging knight!

The stats were trash, so I just had the Spectre guns and max powers to kill everything quickly.

I usually end up finding myself using the same armour in Mass Effect 1 for the first half of the game every time because I will end up getting a Scorpion IV and that's basically that until you can find Colossus or Predator. None of the other armours I seem to find in between ever have comparable stats.

I'm an assault rifle guy...
M7 Lancer is my long-standing favorite. To the point I made one at the first crafting station I met in Andromeda, and took down Archon's lackeys on Meridian with an upgraded variant on pre-1.06 Insanity NG+.
I did already have a PAW X with full upgrades by that time, but DAT FUCKING LANCER BRUH.

ME2 thanks to Cain. Nothing like a nuke strapped to your back. No heavy weapons (save for an occasional hydra or something) was such a let down in ME3.

Gotta say ME3 because I could equip my teammates with greater variety. It really added value to the story, too. For example I was always a shotgun fan and didn't get into sniping even though the Javelin sniper worked like a dream. So when I invested in some very expensive guns that I didn't even use, it felt like my character was being generous towards his or hers squad members.
Some of MEA:s armors were very beautiful and well detailed. N7 and the one model which had light stripes on it, were defenetly gorgeous. However the guns were missing something. They didn't feel as powerful as in the old trilogy. I missed my supressor gun from ME3 a lot, and claymore and even eviscerator. Loved Carnifex heavy pistol, too. Got it from Mordin, ended Reapers with it.
I must be the only one who wasn't huge fan of heavy weapons except the ice cannon one. It always felt clumsy to change between the big and small guns. My Vanguard Shepard didn't have time for that.

The heavy weapons were intended kind of like, well, heavy weapons.
You don't pull out an M32 MGL or an AT4 in every fight, so you usually carry them for no good reason in most. It's rather inconvenient to carry more than two weapons anyway (primary and sidearm).
I think that's how you gotta see it. They're heavy weapons you're using rarely but have all the more firepower. Of course, with Biotics being a sort of heavy weapon of their own (in lore, at least), it's much less likely you'll actually need them.
To be honest, the only two heavy weapons I ever found useable were the Collector particle beam (think a .50 cal machine gun) and Cain (you know why... Nothing beats carrying around a god damn MOAB on your back)

I think I have to vote for ME:3. I loved the Recon Hood, it featured the best and most realistic armor of the entire series -the Hahne-Kedar- and last but not least my favorite two weapons - the Geth Javelin and the un-nerfed Falcon grenade launcher. The ME:A Heleus Defender armor was pretty nice though....
