The heavy weapons were intended kind of like, well, heavy weapons. You don't pull out an M32 MGL or an AT4 in every fight, so you usually carry them for no good reason in most. It's rather inconvenient to carry more than two weapons anyway (primary and sidearm). I think that's how you gotta see it. They're heavy weapons you're using rarely but have all the more firepower. Of course, with Biotics being a sort of heavy weapon of their own (in lore, at least), it's much less likely you'll actually need them. To be honest, the only two heavy weapons I ever found useable were the Collector particle beam (think a .50 cal machine gun) and Cain (you know why... Nothing beats carrying around a god damn MOAB on your back)The ones I used were mainly the arc projector, missile launcher, and collector particle beam. Really just used them situationally but I liked having the option.

Gear is for normals, but the Colossus armour from ME1 was pretty cool.

Its a foot race between MEA and ME 3. I suppose the augments give MEA a slight advantage.

It's a hard choice between ME2 and ME3 but I have to go with ME2. They messed with too many of the weapons that I loved in ME3 by making them smaller or weaker overall. Those being... -Claymore (I loved the larger ME2 version much better) -Geth Plasma Shotgun (Just didn't have the punch it use to) -Mattock (Felt ALOT weaker in ME3) These weapons were always a staple in any of my builds. I also hated what they did with the mantis and the widow in ME3, where you fire a single shot and have to go through a lengthy reload. (Unlike the bolt action animation in ME2)

Its a foot race between MEA and ME 3. I suppose the augments give MEA a slight advantage. Let us not forget that Andromeda did armor possibly better, since it includes more realistic body armor. Initiative armor? Typical example of a plate carrier without the carrier. Yes. It's literally the plate.

MEA. early Pathfinder armor is my favorite armor set in the series, and the X5 is quickly becoming my favorite weapon.
Though I do miss ME3's Lancer.

The ones I used were mainly the arc projector, missile launcher, and collector particle beam. Really just used them situationally but I liked having the option.
I used the Arc Projector quite a bit in my last ME2 run. I hadn't used it much before, if it all, but found it really useful against mobs.
However, I voted for ME3, even though they nerfed the Locust and a couple other guns I run with in ME2. Especially with the DLC and pack items factored in, there's just so much variety. Also, weapon leveling depends on how many credits I'm willing to dole out, not what level I am. I never used ARs much in any of the games but they really felt weaker in MEA. That first Avenger you get on Habitat 7 is barely a pea shooter, even at level X.
I do like being able to make my own armor in MEA but don't like, as others have mentioned, the pre-set stats. Would be nice if those came from mods rather than the base design. For example, I like the angara armor, but it's useless if I'm playing a biotic since it only helps tech skills. I refuse to wear or craft the N7 armor so I was stuck without any armor boost for biotic skills in my last game. I went for melee damage instead since I was playing mostly Vanguard style anyway.

I prefer MEA armor .

ME3 is an obvious answer because it gives you variety of weapons to choose. My personal favorites are
1. Cerberus Harrier 2. M-96 Mattock 3. M-99 Saber (I treat it more like a sniper rifle because of it's high damage and it takes out heavy enemies easily.) 4.M-290 Cain (I wish I could select it as my heavy weapon like ME2)

Torn between ME2 and MEA. ME2 had the best versions of Mattock and Locust, and Claymore on Infiltrator was quite a bit of fun too MEA has probably the most variety in armor designs (just too bad you can't choose stats you want), and it has Sidewinder

I loved the armors in Mass Effect 3 and Andromeda. I felt like 3 had more variety though, but then again it also had far too many Cerberus logos on damn near every armor. Aside from that though I really loved the armor I got in Citadel dlc. It was over kill really, but it was still nice. The guns are pretty great in both games.

ME2 has the black hole gun, cain, and the revenant back when it was still a monster. I'm going with ME2.
Although I like andromeda's armor options and jetpacks.

Armor: ME2 hands down. I always used custom armor, never went in for any sets. ME3 I could never get the right shade of black back. The Colossus armor in ME1 was cool too. Weapons: ME3- Black Widow, Arc Pistol, PPR (Lancer can suck it), Reegar. ME1 weapons for infinite ammo and actually reasonable cooldown mechanics. Also Master Spectre Gear. Finally shoutout to Collector Particle Beam in ME2. Something for everyone.

I always use the Arc Projector whenever I do Arrival mainly because it's crowd control capabilities comes in handy and helps make up for a lack of squad mates. I also use it on any mission going up against Geth it is great and taking them down (also pretty handy against Mechs so it is a must take for me on Overlord).

ME2-3 had the Blood Dragon armor, but ME:A has swords. The only thing to make it better would be Dual UltraGreatswords, Dark Souls III style.

I actually disliked when those things were lying around. Like, some marauder or cannibal just came along and dropped it there? Why didn't they just wipe out the turians with it? One shot could take out a dozen at once.

All the games left you with limited options for appearance, given that you were herded into some types of armor based on your character build statwise. I like ME:A's options but the game comes in second to ME:3, where you had a wider range of headgear to choose from, including visors, masks, rebreathers, and goggles in addition to full head helmets.
