Isabela: My, you're jumpy aren't you? Look at you, cowering in a corner. What happened to the fearless, dashing raider I used to know? Martin: I'm not a raider anymore, Isabela. I'm just an honest merchant now. Isabela: Please, Martin. You wouldn't know honest if I tied you up and spanked you with it. Hawke: You tie him up, I'll go find some honesty.

Hawke (imitating Isabela): I like big boats, I cannot lie!
Isabela (defensive): Well... I do!

I'll admit, I haven't read through the thread yet - so I'm just going to assume that most of the best of the humorous lines have already been posted, so I'm going to go with another one I've always liked:
Merrill: Are you all right? Anders: I nearly killed an innocent girl. How could I be all right? There is no definition of alright that fits this state. Merrill: I'm sorry. Anders: You're sorry? For me? This could be you! You could be the next monster threatening helpless girls! Merrill: Anders... There's no such thing as a good spirit. There never was. Merrill: All spirits are dangerous. I understood that. I'm sorry that you didn't.
For all that Anders berates Merrill about being naïve and dangerous when it comes to the demon, I think this exchange shows that it was actually Merrill that knew better what she was getting into/the risks of dealing with the demon than Anders when he first took Justice in.
But then you get the flip side if Anders did kill that girl:
Anders: It's not a good feeling, you know. Merrill: What? Anders: Being an abomination. I just got a taste of your future. Merrill: I'm not that foolish. Our relationship is, um, strictly platonic. Anders: It's like you're trapped in your own body, seeing out your eyes, while someone else moves you like a puppet. Anders: And you're trying to scream, to move a single muscle, but there's no escape. Until you look down at the blood on your hands... Merrill: Stop it. You're scaring me. Anders: That's the point.
At this point Anders truly understands the risks better than Merrill, having just lived them.

At this point Anders truly understands the risks better than Merrill, having just lived them. The second one not only coming, if Anders kills Ella, this is standard, and I think, rather based on his first experience, when Justice tried to protect him but enraged. This was a massacre. Anders has every right to warn Merrill, to warn everyone about the danger, yes, because he knows the danger from personal experience. But while he afraid, he corrupted Justice, he still wants to believe, he's not. He's Andrastian, more than he ever thought, he has his limits. And he MUST believe because if he's not right, everything was futile... Another good piece: Merrill: You really believe don't you? Anders: What are you talking about? Merrill: Believing. You do, I can tell, in freedom, in mages, in good spirits and bad templars. With more fire than the sun. Anders: And your point is? Merrill: I miss it sometimes, things being certain. Anders: Some things are certain.Merrill: Not anymore.

I don't know the specific lines but I like the banter between Isabela and Merrill, as well as Carver and Merrill. Merrill it's just so damn cute. I also like when Hawke first flirts with her when she's talking about the Eluvian mirror.

After Varric's quest in Act 2, if you pick the purple option Hawke says something like "Come on - let's go and drink till we can't see."
I like that. I like to think Hawke and Varric have done that many, many times.

Fenris saying: Nothing could be worse than the thought of living without you
And my all time favorite dialogue
Varric:*fake Orlesian accent* oh...but the Hanged Man is so filty, heheh (his laugh is so great as he says that xD) Fenris: ...*sneers* it is filthy Isabela: they're so Orlesian ^^ or Aveline: *sighs* Orlesians
and some of my favorite party dialogues from MotA Fenris: You frightened me. Hawke: Me? Fenris: Before we found you, there was a moment when I... Fenris: Don't do that again. so cute, Fenris is always so protective (and a little possessive) of Hawke when he romances them
Sebastian: You can't swing a dead cat in Starkhaven without hitting an Orlesian. Fenris: Truly? Starkhaven seems like a long way for them to go. Sebastian: The Minanter River flows across half of Thedas. Orlesian merchants bob in it like apples. Fenris: I like apples. (me to Fenris...me to, apples are my favorite fruit) Sebastian: Yes, well, these apples will buy your sister, eat your house, and woo your chickens.
I still think my Legacy party dialogues with the siblings are bugged though some days back I played Legacy with Bethany in my party and she had a dialogue with Fenris that the wikia says is supposed to be a Rivalry one, and she was at 100% Friendship

hehe, I forgot one ^^ Alistair: well, I suppose I should go back to the ol' ball and chain Teagan: *laughs* you know the queen HATES it when you call her that
Alistair: no she doesn't, just 'cause she killed an Archdemon...she doesn't scare me Teagan: *grins* you keep telling yourself that Your Majesty
*meanwhile in Ferelden* Eirian (my Warden Queen): ...*sneezes*
Also got a funny glitch in my game when talking to Marethari during Merrill's Act 3 quest (before Marethari goes all 'graah! I'm a demon!') Merrill mentioned Mahariel (the Dalish Warden) in dialogue, funny thing is...my Warden is a Cousland I think that just shows that my head canon of multiple Wardens would be possible (I always head canon that my main warden(s) are part of the same world state, which is why I tend to make the same choices in the games to keep things consistent )
Edit: forgot another one one of my favorite Varric banters Fenris: I notice you hardly ever comment on mages and templars and such. Varric: It's a lot of humans in skirts. I get them mixed up. Fenris: I highly doubt that. The subject comes up all the time. Varric: Tell me about it. Fenris: And no opinion? One way or the other? Varric: Opinions are like testicles. You kick them hard enough, doesn't matter how many you got. Fenris: That's... something.
Best.opinion.ever ^ I even use it in real life sometimes *sighs* you know you've played to much dragon age when you start using phrases like Maker's breath

Merrill mentioned Mahariel (the Dalish Warden) in dialogue, funny thing is...my Warden is a Cousland You know, I just had Merrill mention Duncan in my current playthrough - which is a Warden Tabris world-state. Merrill would have only met Duncan if he went to the clan in the origin, correct? So does that mean that Duncan may have shown up at all the other Origins like a day late to save them or something? I think that just shows that my head canon of multiple Wardens would be possible My happy headcanon world is actually a Tabris/Cousland dual Warden-verse (I'd love to add my Brosca to the mix, but a couple of her decisions were too different and I feel she would get overshadowed by the other two...) *sighs* you know you've played to much dragon age when you start using phrases like Maker's breath I have used "Maker's breath" and "Andraste's ass" in daily life. And love that quote of Varric's as well

And love that quote of Varric's as well My own head canon world consists of Cousland and Surana since those are my favorite origins (Dalish to, but...eh *shrugs)
though, I'm going to have to decide on what I'll do for my Surana playthrough...might have him do the Dark Ritual(I plan on a Morrigan romance) or recruit Loghain, haven't decided yet
as for Duncan...Merrill does mention Duncan during party dialogue with Anders even if the Warden was not Dalish Merrill: I heard Varric saying you were a Grey Warden. Anders: I was. Merrill: I met a warden once. Back in Ferelden. Duncan, I think his name was. Very odd man. Merrill: He had a marvelous beard, though. I'd never seen one before. I thought a squirrel had grabbed him by the chin.
so yes, I do think Duncan went to each of the Origins and met with the potential Wardens in turn, he would (I think) either end up being to late to help them, or find them unsuitable we at least know that the Human Noble ends up in Ostagar if they were not recruited by Duncan (it's implied that Dog was the mabari owned by the Human Noble) in my head canon Duncan first recruits Eirian Cousland up in Highever, then they head down to the Circle and recruit Arenor Surana

I hadn't realized that about Dog in Ostagar having originally been Cousland's. As someone else said on another thread - I love that it's possible to still learn new things about these games after all this time My head-canon world has F!Tabris (Zevran romance) & Queen Cousland - I go back and forth on who was recruited first. I like how their differences and early prejudices play off each other in my mind, especially in the beginning. I helps that they mostly make the same decisions, albeit not always for the same reasons. The two major differences in decisions they have, they each win one in head-canon world - with Tabris killing Connor (as opposed to going to the Circle) and Cousland breaking the werewolf curse (as opposed to killing the werewolves). I love my Brosca and think she would fit in well with the group - and her sarcastic personality would finish the trifecta of Tabris' anger and Cousland's diplomacy. But I just can't get some of her decisions (such as sacrificing Isolde and recruiting Loghain) to mesh with the worldstate of the other two.
