When I returned to the States after being in Germany, ME was the title that got me back into gaming and Western RPGs as a whole.

It was also the first game I played where you could have sex with people. Blew my mind.

I was thinking about doing an article for Mass Effect for the website I write for, and I wanted to interview people on that if the moderators permit me to do so.

I would have a survey of questions and if anyone wants to discuss things one on one we can schedule it over the next week (not tomorrow though, Halloween for me)

I had another idea to add.

Remember your very first playthrough of the series? Whether it was ME2, ME1, a mobile game; whichever. How did you feel? What were your standout moments? What grasped you and kept you invested? What were your initial thoughts of the plot and characters? What was your first Shepard or Ryder like? What decisions did they make? I'll post something up on N7 Day or maybe next week after I complete a game or two. I'd love to see everyone's thoughts.

@onityme My introduction/initial-investment into Mass Effect was not great for certain reasons because 11/12 year old me wasn't thinking properly in how to play a Bioware RPG.

linksocarina I'd love to be interviewed.

By playing Mass Effect I learned how to WASD, and ME3MP specifically taught (ok, forced ) me to use hotkeys for powers when I never did before - always used the mouse. Going back to Dragon Age after that was a whole new experience. Now if I can't WASD for movement I get salty.

I don't believe anymore.

I played my first ME game ever, this Jan and actually finished the trilogy, one after another. Played FShep and then MShep, all so I could be ready for MEA. Then played MEA several times. My ME career may be short but I sure have enjoyed the games (and books).

I had heard a lot about Bioware games thanks to a friend who was completely into Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate. My other friend showed me KOTOR and Jade Empires. I finally got to personally enjoy a Bioware game with the 360 generation (after owning PS1 and PS2). ME1 blew my mind and won me over from fantasy. I really grew to love the universe and characters faster than I expected. I was so amazed how the decisions carried over to ME2 with my character. Same with ME3. And then the Multiplayer! I was prepared to never play online again until I tried out the beta and had a blast. I have spent 500 hours or more playing with friends that I would not have met otherwise. I have a respectably large shelf almost dominated with guides, comics, and artbooks. Not to mention, Monopoly, Risk and 5 model ships. Also, Bishoujo Tali blessing my room. Even though my love for Dragon Age has grown, Mass Effect is the series that allowed me to become a deeper fan. Even though Andromeda didn't hit all the marks perfectly, I am still grateful for the new characters and stories told.

I know that that times might be tough for a bit, but I have a feeling that there is still hope for the future. That or I will remain delusional and enjoy my insanity every November 7th.

On N7 day, I will probably hop onto ME3MP and MEAMP. Probably goof around. Have fun, ya'll!

I played whole trilogy for the first time in December 2013. I spent every minute of my free time playing it. I even turned on flight mode on my phone and logged off from all IM applicatipns.
Andromeda wasn't as good as trilogy but I like it and enjoyed playing it.
