It has certainly been one hell of a year for Mass Effect. It feels bittersweet for sure, but it's still nice to see so many coming together and sharing their love for the franchise despite it all.

I can't claim to be a part of the ME fandom for very long as I first got to play it in 2014, but I love it ever since! I used to play Resident Evil, Silent Hill and J-RPGs like Final Fantasy a lot, but then in 2011 my friends showed me Dragon Age. I was hooked and loved it very much, we played every Friday and then I played it myself after getting it for the PS3. I heard there was another franchise by Bioware called Mass Effect, but I was never a Sci-fi fan or a big fan of shooters really, so I never checked it out more thoroughly (plus ME1 came out much later for the PS3 anyway).
But then I eventually bought ME1 and gave it a try! Not a good idea since I became absolutely addicted to it
I started in April 2014 and played ME1 and up to shortly before the Suicide Mission of ME2. I liked the games well enough and had a lot of fun, just never thought I'd play them more than once. I even took a break from ME2 to first play DAI when it came out. Once I was done with these playthroughs, I went back to ME2, finished it and played ME3 straight after. This was were my love for these games grew. I was hooked by ME3 way too much, and by the time I got to the ending I loved my Shepard, the characters, the universe. I even loved the ending!
And from there, the rest is history. I couldn't get my mind off the trilogy and finishing it moved something in me. I wanted more, I wanted to play it again. I didn't want it to ever end. It's rare for me to spend so much time with one franchise, but ME is the one. I laughed and cried (and even still do so nowadays) with the trilogy and I love it to bits. It became my favourite gaming experience since all these years, made me a hardcore roleplayer. I love playing both MShep and FemShep and different alignments/LIs, and it inspired me to get creative with some forum posts, doodled some art, made videos for Youtube and so on.
I replay the trilogy ever since, fell in love with the gameplay mechanics along the way as well and it even got me into playing Insanity all the time. I never play games for challenge, but again, ME is the one I have finished each class once and I'm on my second set of Shepards currently. I can't see myself stop playing for a long time, the versatility of these games is just too incredible.
Unfortunately, MEA didn't hook me as much and I never even finished my second run. But I don't hate it and still somewhat hope there will be more to come, and that it's more grabbing for me
So, to sum this long post up in one short sentence: THANK YOU, MASS EFFECT!

well i expected nothing more than a video truth is.
WHile i loved andromeda..
..i ve been playing AC origins this time as the gameplay clicked in me and while up until now i HATED the previous AC games, this time with AC Origins they did it. In 2 years they created a game that literally is more stunning than what andromeda did in 5 years of development. Oh well.
Hapy N7 day and be sure to play origins as it impresses the fuck out of me.
The details in origins are stunning: bodies errupt bubbles in water, cats nears you rub on your feet and pur, more dynamic crowds , actual functioning water where the main character can swim, GREAT draw distance, way way less pop up, actual ecosystem of animals unlie the same dinosaur... and next GEN LANDSCAPES.
