And someone almost did it with the Turian Soldier on Aqua. Died with just 15 seconds left on the clock from an Ascendant's blast on the rooftop.

Excellent job. That Wave 3 hack! And those PC turns in the air flak cannon and FOV!
Makes me think I should at least try a Platinum Solo Chronicles with this map and mission modifier.

And another (not mine) with the Turian Havoc Trooper. That continual hovering so as long as you dispatch an enemy is awesome. Rozerad Siphon and hovering DR so useful.

The Meta is that it is harder than ME3. Sandstorm map would be the easiest. Objectives matter a lot...

I’m doing the APEX mission right now with the Juggernaut. First attempt (Retrieval, Devices, Boss), I got to Extraction and died with 11 seconds to go (jumping off the stupid ledge on Sandstorm). Then, got to Wave 6 on the second runthrough and got Hack (after Devices and Boss). Don’t know how many more attempts I have in me for today.

On the fourth attempt, I did it! Video coming soon, but I had Upload, Boss, and Retrieval. Super stressful because I ran out of First Aid Packs and Revive Packs during Wave 5. Update with video: Gameplay notes here. |

This person has started to do some amazing solos on PC. He did it here against Remnant on Sandstorm with the Kineticist:
I’ve been trying in vain to get a Kineticist solo completed myself; last night, got to Wave 5 against Kett (on Sandstorm). I kept on getting Hacks and Uploads on Wave 2 until my last run. I don’t think it’s possible to do some of the things he’s doing on the PC. Those turns in the air and that expanded FOV. Gave me some good tips on how to handle the pesky Observers on Wave 3 and beyond (stay in the little hack room).
This person also has videos of the Flak and Flamethrowing Krogan Mercenary (Zero) and a grenade chucking Human Soldier (Magma).

PC aim assist because pointing and clicking on a mouse is so much easier than using your thumbs on the controller
that's why i don't consider PC platinum solos to hold any merit compared to console because both avenues are not made equal in skill.

Batarian Scrapper Platinum Solo on Sandstorm. Used the Kishock, Flak Cannon and the Rozerad Siphon. Came up with a viable strategy for completing these solos with any character on this particular map. Kishock comes in handy for handling bosses and mini-bosses. At Rank X, it’s also light enough for characters to wield without cooldown penalty. More gameplay notes in this post. |
