i really like pathfinder's setting but i REALLY don't like how focused on min/maxing the rules are. it's designed from the ground up by and for min/maxer's and autists. the rest of us normies have to play on crayon eater difficulty just to hit a target.

It doesn't make sense to make this for an MEA sequel, unless they are somehow going to make the ME3 ending choice not matter much. Which is impossible because one of the choices is complete annihilation and extinction, and another one is making every living thing half robot.

Seems more like they wanted this to launch on or shortly after MEA's release and only recently finished it due to the unexpected staffing liquidation.

You need to click in the button "Aprove this answer" below the choice. Try Pressing f11 if you aren't seeing it.

Well, like the Dragon Age Keep just because there is an option there doesn't mean sequels have to use it. It's just kept there in case it is needed.

This wouldn't piss me off at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for MEA2, but being able to play in the MilkyWay post-war with a clean slate would be amazing.

As for the archives, I think it's just a way to be able to explore different playthroughs of ME2 and/or ME3 without restarting the whole trilogy, which is neat. Probably more than I expected for N7 Day tbh.

True, but the only thing we would need to know in that case is what color ending we got, and maybe whether Grunt is around, since he and Liara are the only ones who could still be alive (seriously, who else besides themikefest got Liara killed on the beam-run?). Its six hundred years later in the Milky Way, I have a hard time believing our actions in the OT would have much of an impact on anything in MEA2.

Not just "Why now?" but "Why both Shepard and Ryder?"

They are separated by centuries and a galaxy. Heck MEA was specifically to GET AWAY from Shepard's story. With the direction they are taking the franchise, the trilogy, especially ME3, doesn't matter.

And if they do backpedal and relocate to the Milky Way, Ryder's story won't matter. (in addition to the endings being a headache to deal with)

Not just that. They'd also need to know things like was the Genophage cured, what happened between the Quarians and the Geth, etc.
Sure most things in there wouldn't matter, but then the same thing applies to a lot of choices in the DA Keep too.
