I forgot to mention, but I've also been to Diego Garcia, but I don't think that really counts: it's an overseas territory owned by the UK, but often used as a staging area for the U.S. Air Force. It's the only time I've been to the Indian Ocean area proper.
Also, when I was in Afghanistan, I was within a quarter of a mile (or about 400 meters for the non imperial-inclined) of the border with Pakistan.

I haven't been nearly everywhere I want to go, but have been to quite a few places compared to most. UK: England, Scotland, Wales. Europe: France, Spain, Italy, Germany. Africa: South Africa, Tanzania, Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt. Asia Pacific: New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong. Americas: Just the west coast of the US. I need to see more of the Americas, not the US, but the interesting parts in the south

Mmm this list will be slightly long but here we go. To help differentiate between places I traveled to for military service, business or holiday I shall clarify. (Holiday) You're an American now. Quit calling it 'holiday' damn it! It's vacation! ...What?

I almost never travel, because I have horses. It's an expensive hobby, and it's not too easy finding someone to look after them while I'm gone. I'm from Norway. Have only been to two of our neighbor countries, Sweden and Finland. Going to Iceland next year though, looking forward to that.

Singapore, the USA, Canada and Germany. And in a purely technical sense, Thailand. (I spent three hours in the airport on the way back from Germany.)

Windsor Canada. I'd be damned if I'm going to fly and I'm not fond of being on a boat over deep water, so that leaves me landlocked in the Americas.

From Finland and I've been to - Estonia - England - Ireland - Crete - Canary Islands I lived in Israel(was a baby then so I remember barely nothing) during the early 90's when my dad was a peacekeeper there. Drove from there back to Finland, a trip that took about 3 weeks(must have been fun with 3 little kids), so during that time quite a few countries were visited. So I've been to a lot of places, just can't remember them.

I am from the United States. I've visited Mexico and technically I've been to Canada, if you count hopping back and forth over the border in the Superior National Forest as visiting Canada. The husband and I would love to cross the ocean someday to Europe and Asia. It's just extremely expensive.

I'm Australian and have lived in Aus my entire life. I used to move places almost every year, going all over form Queensland to Victoria to Western Australia, but have never took a single step outside this country.
Pretty boring, but that's the price of being *ahem* lower middle class.

I live in France. But I went in the United states ( Miami and New york ), London in Great Britain, Tunisia, Spain ( Madrid, Barcelona, Brava Costa ) twice for the holidays. The Netherlands but only for a few days. But mostly in the south of France. Though I'd much more prefer traveling in other countries. It's much more exciting for me to meet other people with different mindsets, habits, and point of views. Trying to go beyond the barrier of language without any certainty, as if I was a part of an adventure, as an explorer is fun ! I'd personally like to go to Japan. I want to see its modern side and its traditional one, I want to explore their culture over there, to see if it's like in the manga , I want to buy a lot of things that I can't buy in Europe from their country, I want to see how different it is from the habits of my country. One of my friends did it during this summer, I was absolutely jealous. I should also go back to the US one day, in California for example ? Seems like a very nice place to explore.

Japan is a pretty convenient country to travel around really. It's quite safe, transportation is modern and comfy. If you'd like to travel from city to city there is an awesome luggage delivery service that will free you from big suitcases when taking the train. And it's awesome for kids. There's a cat-bus at the Ghibli museum!

There is a difference between a country and a state. A country makes it's own rules and a state is subject to someone else's rules. While the EU cronies are pushing hard to rob us of our freedom and sovereignity, trying to turn us into an EU state, we're not there yet. We're still a proud sovereign state aka a country.

I had assumed that the intent of calling the BeNeLux countries ' states' would have been clear towards the meaning of ' sovereign state'. After all, outside the United States (and a few other places like Australia), the terms are identical and synonymous. Hence 'state actor', 'non-state actor', 'stateless individual', etc. in international relations. My mistake.
