The Game Awards nominees revealed: MEA gets ZERO nominations

Not surprising.

Although I am more concerned over how shit most of these award categories are (Esport stuff and Best Chinese Game boggle my mind) along with some of the odd nominations.

Like Player Unknown: Battlegrounds as Game of the Year? Have we really fallen that low?

It's nice when a game I like gets awards, in a 'good for them!' sort of way.

A game not getting any awards or nominations doesn't make me like a game any less, just like them getting one doesn't make me like it more. I haven't even heard of some of the games that were nominated for this joystick thing. I like what I like, the awards mean nothing to me personally.

What about those of us who think the same even when games we like win awards? For example I love DAI, and DAI has won many awards, however I have never used those awards as evidence for my position since I think game awards are pointless. Are we hypocrites too? 

If that's true, then you shouldn't even bother to ask, otherwise you are implying that you didn't like what i said and you feel attacked by it for whatever reason.

Well, if the right games are nominated and win that does make a world of a difference. I am pretty sure no one around here is advocating Andromeda as GOTY though, and unlike Inquisition, which deserved the recognition, what we have now is just rage bait by some to lord things over others.

I still need to play that. I hated original sin but I hear good things about origins.
