I'm hyped, but not so hyped that I think I'm not being realistic.

are you at all interested in this game? considering your avid interest in History, I think you'd like it, even if it is mostly inspired by the 17th century and not mimicking it as reality

Ew. So two options for a female then.

I was listing the 3 males companions. Only Kurt (this guy) is confirmed as a (straight) romance option. The other two male companions are Vasco and Petrus, one of them won't be a romance.

I have to say, I am surprise the CEO herself give me a clear answer about Kurt romance status (then answer more to other too) on twitter.

I lost half of my excitement from this confirm. But still play the game since I already preorder it and have no plan to cancel. Greedfall have other element that got me and at least they don't force me to romance girl plus I still have chance to romance guy.

I'm interested in this for the setting and story. It's one of the more original fantasy games I've seen in a while. And I've always wanted to slay monsters with a foil in a dashing 17th century outfit.

Greedfall is only new game that isn't a remake or a remaster, and wasn't released 1-3 years ago that I probably will buy this year because it's a third person action RPG and it looks and sounds cool. Plus I'm sucker for swashbucklers like The Three Musketeers (which BTW is there video game based on that book I swear it seems there are more movies and TV shows based on that book than some major superheroes I could name) and big epic historical dramas like Les Misables and since I won't be getting Fable 4 anytime soon it lets me as a female character. This will have to do.

I would have pre-ordered Bloodlines 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 despite my general lack of knowledge/interest in Vampire the Masquerade since the 90s, and my mixed feelings for the cyberpunk sub-genre of science fiction in general (I like more in movies and anime, but in video games not so much), CDPR and their insane fanbase respectfully but since I absolutely HATE first person perspective in RPGs (if they put an optional third person mode in those games then I will be more that happy to give them a try) but I want to see my character interact with the world not hands, weapons, and feet.

That awful first person perspective in the fort is pretty much destroyed Anthem for me, but hey it save me a lot of money and more importantly time.

On my wallet radar there is nothing besides Greedfall. I don't plan on ever touching the Epic store, so I hope it doesn't become it's exclusive. So, what else to look forward to? I am an Origin Premier subscriber, so I don't include EA titles in the mix since they are, well, sorta already rented until next year.

Never could enjoy these types of Japanese games. Something about them bores me right out, same boredom I get with Bethesda's ES series and Fallout games. I won't play them even for free. My wallet is safe for now then.

The game is about the player character, De Sardet, going to a recently colonized island to find a cure for a disease that is killing their nation (+ his/her mom) and help their cousin be the new governor of the place (or not, as the game has a faction system). The setting is renaissance with magic, it's not Earth.

If you believe that KoTOR, Jade Empire, ME1 and DAO are RPGs than this game is a RPG. Spiders makes video games in that styles but with a fraction of the budget and dev team (the studio is like 25 people). The game has companions, romances, choices&consequences, crafting and a huge ability wheel (somewhat classless, but going by their previous game, spreading out is a bad idea) and attributes.

Note: This will fall into the Eurojank category, by default of Spiders always chewing more than they can.

I think you're right as it sounds very much like Lana's VA which I thought was kind of cool. Though we only hear a small snippet.
