I do want to play the campaign, even though I've heard it's not exactly a masterpiece of story telling. But since I am not really interested in the MP, I'll wait for a year or so, to buy it cheap in a sale, as for me, it's effectively just a 5 hour game. Hope you guys have fun in the MP though. May the force be with y'all!

Some of my favorite moments so far that ive played  I really like the Specialist class. Once I unlocked the second sniper it became really awesome. Its a good class for me because whereas the others are all fast and exciting, I can take my time. I dont stay in one place though like that guy who I kept shooting on Jakku. Every time I respawned he was there so I just kept taking shots at him and then I moved on to other things. Dying, namely  |

More fun Three of those melee kills were on the same guy in consecutive games, something I just realized... erm... oops. I think Im a little weird. When Im on the ground I will ALWAYS be somewhere near the bottom of the leaderboard. When I play galactic conquest and I can be a fighter or a bomber, I come in the top 3 every time  I won MVP in one game from flying around shooting things Including the objective ofc, but eh |

I like how the maps have variations to them. I mean the layout is the same, but they flip the map so everything on the right is on the left and change the environment for example from midday to sunset or night.

That game mode has it where the attacking team has three sets of objectives they have to accomplish in order while the defending team tries to stop them just like in Turning Point except with more variety than just capturing a point. Starfighter Assault is pretty much the same thing just in the air or space instead of on the ground. Plus these maps in these game modes each have a story that can go one of two ways depending on who wins so that is fun. |

Tried out the game over the weekend. I having a blast! The game is a massive improvement over the 2015 Battlefront with the Heroes more balanced than the walking destructive tanks they were in the last game. You have to plan your fights a bit if you are playing as a Jedi or a Sith if you rush you're going to get surrounded and killed easily. I learned that the hard way, but I've managed to adapt and I was able to go on a long killstreak as Yoda. I've been playing all my games in Galactic Assault and while I enjoy the Clone Wars maps, they were often laggy though I do wonder if it had something to do with the number of players playing on the server on release week. My favorite class so far is the Assault Class, though I do like the Heavy and Officer Class (particularly the Officer Class because I can accumulate a LOT of Battle Points.). I must say I often dominate as a Wookie Warrior and If I do find myself dying a lot, I would choose him to turn the tide.
Overall a fun game that learns from the previous games mistakes. Any changes from the Microtransactions backlash would probably make it even better.

Seems Disney may have put a stop to them making cosmetic customization options for the game.  www.pcgamesn.com/star-wars-battlefront-2/battlefront-2-cosmetic-loot-boxTitles like Overwatch have seen far more success with cosmetic items that affect the look of your characters. But Jorgensen says that wouldn’t work for Star Wars.
“If you did a bunch of cosmetic things, you might start to violate the canon. Darth Vader in white probably doesn't make sense, versus in black. Not to mention you probably don't want Darth Vader in pink. No offense to pink, but I don't think that's right in the canon."
Regardless of how you feel about pink Darth Vader, it’s easy to imagine this as more of a Lucasfilm directive than one that comes from EA or DICE, especially considering a cosmetic-driven mode is reported to have been cut from the game at the behest of the Star Wars brandmasters. A dataminer going by Uninspired Zebra has even dug up a hidden character customisation menu in the game. |

Its definitely a missed opportunity to simply say no to cosmetic items. While it is kinda funny that the pink Darth Vader was brought up, that was an extreme.

Hopefully the person is misinformed since like last week on Reddit one of the devs talked about how that is definitely something they want to add and are working on. It only wasn't included in the game because it wasn't ready when the game had to be released.

And I can understand not doing it for some things like certain hero characters or at least have them be severely limited in comparison to regular soldiers but it could still work and fit with the lore. For example with Darth Vader have it where you can have his Rogue One/A New Hope look as well as the The Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi look he has in the game.

Id have liked more character customization, like genders/helmets/faces/colors would have been nice. But I dont think canon can be used as an excuse, because Kylo Ren wasnt fighting in the clone wars and didnt get shot in the face by a blaster repeatedly...  Speaking of heroes, the dark side heroes are wayyyyy better than the light side ones, Ive only had one game where the light side heroes have won heroes vs villains, other than that the villains have won every time and it can be as much as 9-0. The lowest was 3-0. I think their powers are stronger overall. I think there should probably be a limit on heroes in normal gameplay though. 1 per team and with a cooldown is probably enough. At the moment, a player who is a hero can earn so many points, and when they die they can instantly become the hero again. I think it could be done better haha I really love Starfighter Assault  Just want to say that |
