The contrast with the last game is stark. There the heroes seemed to be working as a team. We dialogued. We worked out who was who and who we should be voting for. I really hate to sound like this, but so far the main difference from this game and the last is me getting killed off really early off the bat. So I'm thinking maybe because I've been in the sidelines and been a little busy things have been a bit different for you guys.So next round I will voice my suspicions after the events of this round just to provide another opinion that the Heroes won't have to doubt whether there is some sort of ulterior motive within that opinion. Hopefully this will help you guys out a little bit.
Also, the voting results of this round should be able provide some clues for the next. So hopefully the Heroes who are still alive will be a little more vocal on their current suspicions and why they're suspicious in order to coordinate a little more with the other Heroes.

Well, at least this round the voting is split straight down the middle, with proven/assumed good people on either side and each person in the tie-breaker voting for the other. If it does result in the loss of a hero, I think it can be safely assumed that at least one of the people who voted for them is a spy. If a spy is eliminated, it may make things a lot simpler in the next round as well.

I don't have much to share at the moment. People guessed a bit about me and to say they are correct or not would bring down spies on me, so I can't really tell you, if you are right with the role, you think I am. But the heroes can trust me. As for whom I trust: gerva is pretty much confirmed as a role and a hero and since Grunt used his protection for her, I hope someone else can take over. I do think, Moon could be Liara, so one of the protective roles should take care to help her (best would be Grunt, so possible other protective roles are free to help gerva). I do believe dragon and dusty, they both were pretty adamant to fight for their cause. I think as a spy, that wouldn't be the best tactic. Other than that, I have nothing so far. But I agree with gerva, that we probably will know after the voting

Well, after reading back all of the shenanigans that took place during my 3 day vacation... I find it a bit odd that dusty would argue against Gervaise who has overwhelming evidence pointing to her being a hero. Things do tend to get heated when you're on the block so I could potentially see that happening. Plus there is the role Dusty hinted at... no one has opposed her. I'm also not sure how Romice ended up being the other choice as she hasn't done anything particularly suspicious, but she hasn't actually hinted a role... that could be telling.
Then again, any role claim could actually be a spy picking a cover role or a spy trying to look like a hero. Thus, I'm not really sure what to do with my vote. I have reason to trust certain parties, but the tiebreaker participants are not in the trusted parties so either could be a spy as far as I'm concerned.
Perhaps it is best to just let the fates decide?

As the two agents scurried down the hallway, their comm burst out in a roar, "The critter tried to slime Javik, get over to the lobby!"
Skidding to a halt, one of them slipped into a storage room while the other cloaked herself and waited. After a few minutes, someone ran by. Quick as a flash, the cloaked agent squirted a bottle at the legs. Not noticing anything, the crew member continued to run to the lobby.
"Come on, let's go," said the agent, disengaging her cloak.
"This will be fun."
The agents reached the lobby to a chaotic scene.
"It was here!" roared Grunt.
"There is no where for it to hide, look," said Liara, gesturing to the empty lobby, bare of any furniture or crates. "All of us came here in different directions, no one has seen or heard the creature on the way here."
"I heard nothing bouncing when I was standing in the hallway," said Javik.
"It cannot be the roburoro," Liara insisted.
"Are you saying someone tried to hurt Javik?" Shepard said with a dangerous tone in her voice.
"All I am saying is the creature makes noise when it moves," Liara pointed out calmly. "Neither Grunt nor Javik heard anything. Grunt only saw the purple blob."
"I agree with the premise someone is out to harm the crew," said Javik with certainty.
"Who? Who?!!" Grunt snarled. He glared at the crew members who took a step back from the menacing look. Turning around, he looked carefully at each person and then stopped. "What's this?" He pointed at the legs of a crew member. "It looks purple."
"Are you shitting me?" the crew member looked down. "I brushed on something and I'm guilty?"
"Where did you go?" asked Liara.
"I go where I like."
"Where's your partner?" asked Shepard.
"I prefer to work alone. You know me Shepard."
"That is not what I said..," Shepard began to say angrily when Grunt stepped up unexpectedly and took a swing. The crew member flew a few metres to hit the wall with a whomp and dropped down unconscious. Player eliminatedDustyelf - Jack It is now NIGHT.

Once again, sorry Dusty. I'm afraid that I realised the truth too late. I really like Jack as a character too, so it doubly hurts I caused her to be eliminated. Still if it's any consolation that does give us a bit more to go on.

Well, given the fact that dusty was Jack (RIP w/ me!) , I stand by my suspicions from the last round. Reed and romice are not only not confirmed to be Heroes, but both had the chance to switch from dusty and didn't. So odds are one of them is the spy at this point. I usually wait at least until the next day to voice my suspicions, but something is telling me that neither of those players will get slimed during the night. Plus I suppose I'm itching to avenge our newly fallen Hero as well.
ETA: Romice actually had a great reason not to switch her vote since she was also on the chopping block, but this doesn't necessarily exonerate her either.

Any one of the players who voted for Dusty could have changed their vote after she revealed her identity, except me. I regret my hasty action now because of course I had no choice to change it afterwards.
Dragon seemed convinced that Dusty was faking it - not entirely sure why. She seemed to be trying really hard to locate the spy on behalf of the heroes but that could be a ploy. Reed claimed to have no reason to trust Dusty more than anyone else but came in late in the day and saw who she was claiming to be. Giving a person who is claiming a guaranteed good role the benefit of the doubt seems preferable to someone who is claiming a role that could be either.
Romice changed her vote to Dusty from Moonae but only after we had put Dusty into a tie breaker and I was tied in. It was clear fairly early on that Moonae seemed to be hinting an investigative role, so Romice should have changed to someone else then.
So really there is a case for any one of these being a spy.

In case you are wondering why I am still suspicious of Dragon, her trustworthiness is grounded in the assurances of Moonae. If Moonae is not Liara then that throws every assumption into doubt. However, the real Liara would know this and as yet there has been no evidence of anyone challenging this idea. So for the present I would put Reed and Romice higher on the list of suspicion than Dragon.

Sorry Dusty! Sucks to lose Jack, especially how it went down. =/
As for my defense,
I told you why I didn't switch in my last post before the decision... Dusty kept going against the established fact that Gervaise is a guaranteed hero. That alone, to me, wasn't worth switching my vote and removing it from a tie when I didn't know whether either player was a hero or not. Then near the end, claimed Jack as her role. In my pov, that could easily be a spy claiming an always good role to get off the chopping block.
And, no I couldn't have switched earlier than that as, I hadn't logged on since Thursday afternoon and thus I didn't see dusty's claim until only my vote and catilina's vote weren't "locked in." This was way after everything had basically been decided. Perhaps if dusty was arguing vs anyone but Gervaise, I'd have been more inclined to believe her and switch my vote. But as I said, I was seeing this all after the fact and I'd be dooming a player to save one that was arguing with a known hero. Not sure why that's suspicious.

"Damn it." Shepard stared at the comatose Jack. "Alright, Grunt, get her back to the Normandy, the rest of you continue the search. And," she added, "Grunt, meet me at the conference room at 1800."
While Grunt picked Jack up and moved away, she turned to Liara. "You know what to do."
That she did. Once back at the Normandy, Liara sat down in her office and began to input search parameters with Glyph's help. She frowned when the console failed to recognise her commands. She tried to find the problem. After half an hour, she gave up when the console stubbornly refused to budge. "Glyph, run a class A1C diagnostic on the mainframe."
"That will take up a whole day, Dr T'Soni," said the drone.
"If the mainframe is compromised, we need to solve the problem as fast as possible through other means before the situation spins out of control."
"Very well, Dr T'Soni. Initiating class A1C diagnostic."
That evening, Grunt stomped to his old quarters on the engineering deck, a little upset by the private chewing out Shepard dished up in the conference room. True, his action in knocking out Jack was precipitous but he felt he was justified. Slapping the door console, he took a step in when the door open and paused when something slimy dropped on him. Pulling it away from his face, he stared at the purple slime in bemusement before keeling over.Player EliminatedFylimar - Grunt It is now DAY.

Sorry, Fylimar, that was sadly expected. I did consider Javik entering one of his monologues but I thought we really needed more information. Hopefully, Liara can now provide this, whether it be in exposing a spy or confirming a hero. You will be avenged.
(Incidentally, since no one else used any form of protection on you, it must be assumed that neither Miranda or Kasumi are in the game).

Yep, I couldn't have made it cleaerer, that I tried to ptotect Liara and need protection myself, but since noone did that, we must assume, that neither Miranda nor Kasumi are into play or are spies. I was considering protecting myself, but I thought it more likely that the spies go after Mooniara. I must say, that I was a bit miffled, that Grunt took Jack down in the narrative, since I was one of the player, who defended dusty and even voted another one into a tie with dusty to save her. Hopefully Liara has managed to get a spy. I would look closer at reed and romice tbh. Good luck, heroes

Well I wouldn't entirely rule out Catilina either. With 3 proven heroes voting for Romice, the odds are the other one was a spy even if they only did this originally to deflect suspicion, assuming that Romice is the other spy. However, if Romice is a hero, then as I suggested earlier, there was one spy in each camp, Reed and Catilina. I'm not doing anything, though, until we hear from Liara.

Good catch dragon. The narrative definitely seems to suggest that Liara was unable to investigate anyone last night due to Kasumi making a block. I want to see whether Moonae trusts anyone else during this round. If she doesn't this does suggest that Moonae and dragon are Heroes along with gervaise. This also strongly suggests that at least reed or romice are Evil. Why else would Kasumi make a block last night if they weren't feeling any sort of heat from the Heroes?

Either that, or they're planning on getting Liara tomorrow night anyway and just didn't want her to get in one more investigation. They had to know Grunt was likely going to protect her, so they wouldn't be able to eliminate her outright. But let Kasumi use her evil ability, take out the protector, and take a chance on no additional protection roles in the game...and Liara gets no more investigations even though she survived. The night events did show everyone -- hero and spy -- that Miranda is likely not in the game (or at least, not good Miranda), and if Mordin is in the game, then no one he has given protection to felt under threat last night. I'm willing to give reed the benefit of the doubt for the moment since it seems he was away from the forums for several days, which affected his normal behavior, but that may change as we learn more this round. At least, I hope we will learn more this round. I don't have any specific thoughts on romice or catilina right now.
