I've been super busy with work since the start of the year, and it's likely to continue through the end of March, and it's really put a damper on my ability to pay attention. I'm barely even aware of my mod duties lately.. Luckily ArcadiaGrey and Obsidian Gryphon are totally holding the line as I've been zoned out. I'll play again, and I'm fine with switching back to the original crew. Are you using the roles as they are?
Yeah, I've been interested in the original role list so I won't be changing it. This game's setting is slightly different though from the setting from the original games. So I'll have to tweak this game's role list and then post the role list for everyone to avoid confusion. I'll also include it in the narrative along with whose eliminated and who is still in the game. Just to keep the role list at arm's reach with the players. But the tweaking won't be the roles themselves and more about which roles are going to be included and which isn't.

Role List
Liara T'Soni - The Asari Scientist - Before Liara became the ShadowBroker, she was a researcher who had spent most of her young adult life researching Prothean culture, technology and their demise. Each night, you may research one player to determine whether or not they are indoctrinated. Liara is guaranteed to be a hero.
Wrex - The Krogan BattleMaster -
Before Wrex was the leader of Clan Urdnot, he was an infamous mercenary, bounty hunter, and bodyguard extraordinaire. Should you be arrested/voted out during the day, you will enter a blood rage and start a brawl with any other player of your choice. You will both be arrested and eliminated from the game.
Kaidan Alenko - The Sentinel -
Before possibly surviving Virmire, Kaidan was a Systems Alliance Marine and Staff Lieutenant under the Normandy. Should you be indoctrinated or killed, others will be so inspired by your bravery that your vote will still carry weight after your death. During voting on the first day cycle after your elimination, you will be allowed to cast a vote to eliminate the next player, just as if you were still in the game.
Garrus Vakarian - The Turian Agent - Before Garrus became Archangel, he was a a C-sec officer. Specifically, he was apart of the Investigation Division in C-Sec, where he investigated Saren. Once per game, you may choose to shoot someone during the night cycle. This will eliminate that player from the game.
Ashley Williams - The Soldier -
Before Ashley possibly became the Second Human Spectre, she served as Gunnery Chief on Eden Prime, and later served under Shepard. Every night, Ashley can choose to protect a player. She is free to protect the same player throughout multiple nights, but she will not be able to protect herself.
Tali'Zorah nar Rayya - The Quarian Machinist -
Before Tali possibly became a member of the Admiralty Board, she was a young quarian machinist who was in the middle of her Pilgrimage. Once per game during a day round, you may protect someone from being voted off. You may not protect yourself. PM the Game Master to use this ability.
Dr. Karin Chakwas - The Medic -
Chakwas will do everything to save a patient, even if she's barely holding on herself. Upon nighttime elimination (either indoctrinated or shot by Garrus) You will be able to bring back one player who had previously been eliminated. If that player had any abilities remaining, they will be allowed to use those abilities as usual.
Emily Wong - The Investigative Reporter -
Emily is willing to do nearly anything to get to the truth, even if it kills her. Should you be eliminated at night, the role and player name of one of your enemies will be publicly revealed. The revealed player will be randomly chosen from the list of players who are on the opposing side.
Conrad Verner - Original Version - The Superfan -
Once per game, Conrad may mimic the ability of another player by providing the GM with the name and role of the target. If correct, he will then gain the ability of that role. The true player of that role does NOT lose their ability. Conrad's blind hero worship makes him a target for the bad guys, and thus the role may ONLY be given to the indoctrinated.He may not mimic the ability of a fellow agent, and he may not mimic the role of a player that has no evil version (Liara). Further info about this role is at the front of the page.
Gianna Parasini - The Human Internal Affairs Agent -
As a skilled agent, Gianna knows a thing or two in finding the truth. Once per game, Parasini may choose a player to press. Once pressed, the player will not be able to lie while hinting or questioned during the day. And if questioned, the player has to answer each question.
Captain Kirrahe - The Military Officer -
Once per game, Kirrahe can make an attempt to covertly communicate with another Hero through PM. However, he will have to be right about the selected player's alignment and role. If he is wrong, he will be caught by the agents and indoctrinated. This will result in him joining the indoctrinated ranks as a protective role, which allows him to protect one of his accomplices once per game.
note : While I was tweaking this list, I noticed that this role list was missing a protector, so I had to make Ashley and Kaidan separate roles and make Ashley a protective role for this game. I also noticed the role list was a little small so I added just two roles from the NPC version.

Lightning Round Rules
The rules are pretty straightforward: Every day/voting round, you will only have five days until the round is over, with only one extension being available throughout this whole game. So request wisely! I will also try to speed up my nightly duties-while being careful of course- as GM to keep in spirit.
With all of this in mind, the game will officially begin tomorrow.

Prologue -
"Well, What about Shepard?"
An endless ocean stood before Shepard. The clouds blanketing the planet just above. Yet, their mind drifted elsewhere. Just for a second, as the Normandy coasted by, Shepard thought of another time. Their mind slowing sinking into a reverie from their childhood, to the moment they enlisted, and everything in between.
The memories engulfing just like the blue that stood before them. But the glimpses of the past were thunderous and rapid. Bright and static. Yet it felt incredibly distant. Shepard opened their eyes. The quiet galaxy was still there, glittering before them. The Normandy still operational with the crew working away. Shepard suddenly exhaled, unaware they were holding it in for quite some time.
No doubt Shepard's past was colorful. But as they stared back into that blue, Shepard had a sense that their future will be just as vivid.
"Is this the kind of person we want protecting the galaxy?" Udina questioned, briefing over Shepard's past.
"That's the only kind of person who can protect the galaxy," Anderson said, without skipping a beat.
The galaxy still stood quiet, as if it was waiting for something, or someone.

I've personally only tried out the hybrids and the adept class so far. So writing an Engineer Shep will be new and interesting. Renegade Femshep will definitely be fun too. I figured since she's Renegade I might go for the Ruthless background as well. Any ideas for Shep's love interest though? If Shep's love interest in the narrative winds up being one of the spies things could get interesting....
