+ Why should Serza be allowed to make votes in secret? (edit this question was for part two of my sentence below)
I am unclear are we talking about his vote regarding him joining team villain or team hero OR he will vote for one of the players during the day in secret?

I just wanted to add an bit of mystery to proceedings (if there wasn't enough already). Serza did arrive literally at the 11th hour so I thought I would work it into the narrative. Trust me, it will be fun.

I like mystery, but this is just confusing. So, last night he was technically on the hero side? Were the villains even given the choice to attack him? I am guessing you've rolled a role for him last night, but he's choosing this day which side to join? Is that right?

As if the fact that spies have roles hasn't made me completely paranoid, now we have a new unknown Time to hide in my imaginary fort, scribble ciphered notes and shoot accusations at random people

Clearly this has added to the paranoia. I'm sorry. Please just look upon Serza like any other player. All that will be lacking is one day's voting pattern. Since everyone is pretty random the first day it shouldn't really make that much difference.
With regard to who is on the heroes' side, I made it clear in the rules that there are only 3 roles that you can assume are good if you can identify who they are and only one that is guaranteed to be in the game, Liara.
The vagueness about the 2 lists in the narrative is that any role that was not assigned to a player would automatically go on Liara's good list. Everyone else would be on Liara's dodgy list because if they are present in the game then she needs to clear them. Serza arrived late after the majority of roles had been assigned so in the narrative his role moved from List 1 (safe) to List 2 (questionable).
The player Liara does not actually have these lists. They only exist in the narrative. Liara has no idea which roles are in the game and which are not. When given the answer to her investigation she is only told they are either "Cerberus" or "Not Cerberus". Unless Liara checked you overnight then everyone, including Serza, is currently "not cleared" and could potentially be either good or evil.

So... was that definitely the clone? Cause there was no question mark at the end. Real Liara is still alive right?? *crosses fingers* Well, aside from losing the investigation info from night 1, it wouldn't matter. If the clone takes Liara's place, then you still have a Liara. Also, a middle finger to the villains for not letting me play my role

So, you have chosen a role and side Serza is on. He will simply be voting in secret over pm this round?
WHO made the choice which side Serza joins? Serza or the Game Master. That's all I'm asking.
I was not prying whether he's a floating or guaranteed role.
My original question was about what choice he was making this day round: 1) who to vote for in secret or 2) which side to assume

He is simply voting in secret. It mirrors the narrative. I make all decisions about who is on which side. The only exception to this rule is the Clone who has already been eliminated.

Gocha... So, having him vote in secret is just for fun or does it have another secret purpose? This doesn't help my paranoia. I don't like the idea of someone possibly voting against me behind my back. I can just picture the scenario where I have 3 votes and another person has 3 votes, and then I suddenly die because I didn't have a clear picture of the correct vote standing. I feel like voting against Serza for such shenanigans.

When I first saw that we lost a Liara, I nearly had a heart attack, until I saw it was the Clone again. Still, it would have been rad having another Liara on our side :/.
As for Serza, even if his vote is secret, it probably won't be that hard figuring out who this player voted for if the votes wind up being close or a tie. If his vote winds up being a mystery and the Heroes are still unsure about Serza, Liara can just check him since they're still in play.
Nonetheless I can definitely understand the paranoia/suspicions surrounding this player during this round. But Serza could still be a Hero, it's possible he could even be a valuable role, so personally my suspicions about Serza are neutral until I see otherwise.

*narrows eyes suspiciously and pokes Serza with a stick* Me thinks you can potentially be evil. If I were GM and had 8 players, I'd roll 2 villains. With 9th joining, (Tittus)would add a hero to the team. With 10 players, having 3 villains is not a bad ratio. Very possible to stick the new person onto team villain. 2 new players, give each side one. Then again Gerva has a different way of thinking. It would also be simple to add another floating role to the hero side. This secret vote confuses me. But also serves as a plus in favour of Serza being innocent. I don't really see giving a secret vote to someone when they have villains to back them up.

That's good As I understand it the Clone would have the option of turning Liara evil but would have to declare as much to me. They don't actually join the spies and will not automatically be told who they are but they use the information they get from the investigations to aid them rather than hinder them. This is all theory of course because the Clone has yet to successfully adopt a role. First time I kept opting for the wrong role to imitate and since then we have lost the Clone the first night

Then again Gerva has a different way of thinking I won't argue with that one. After all you have gained great insights into my way of thinking through close association. Still I wasn't the GM who invented Shrink the Heart. Now I wonder who that was?

If the clone takes over Liara or Jack, I think they should stay good, since the roles are guaranteed to be good. Just my opinion, though. Anyway, I don't usually follow these games once I'm eliminated, so someone tag me when it's time to update the first post.

May be this is something that could be discussed before we start the next game. If the Clone is not allowed to turn "good" roles then they are no longer totally neutral. Since Liara and Jack are roles that the Clone would be more likely to want to imitate, the Clone essentially becomes an asset to the heroes and a penalty to the spies as they are an insurance against these roles being eliminated.
If they can potentially make a role either good or evil then both sides have a vested interest in both keeping them around and eliminating them. May be a compromise would be to say that they can only turn a good role evil after a certain number of rounds. So if the Clone takes over Liara in the first round then she keeps her alignment of good but if they acquire the role in round 3 onwards then they have a choice of who they want to join.
Alternatively they cannot target good roles so if the spies get Liara or Jack then they are gone.

Ups - I totally missed it. I read the narrative and liked it and totally ignored that this means daytime. I will start, even if that makes me suspicious, because the Citadel round has a reputation for dragging out votes (yeah, I'm no exeption here) and I want to break that tradition.
I rolled a ten sided dice, because first round and all that jazz and I have no idea. I used the numbers before peoples names on the first page - and the dice said 10 - which means Serza
Sorry, Serza, I don't find you more suspicious than the others, but the dice has spoken in this case. I first thought, your Pathfinder comment was aimed at a character, but none of the ingame characters is a pathfinder - it seems to be more a thing in Andromeda, which I haven't played yet.
