Yah, you just keep telling yourselves that, while you continue to fall further and further behind in a PvE game when they announce DA4 and you can't figure out why. Following up that last place, when all of your team mates are saying that you suck only scoring 20K points when all of them are at 120K.   And admittedly, you do suck.

Forget that they've all spent money on the game after the initial purchase price.

Somebody has gotta be last, amirite?  Keep telling yourselves there is a difference between PvE and PvP and it's there, and it makes a difference.

'Cause I'm betting it's the latter, and you know that (or rather should know, heh) that any time anyone gets left behind, it's time to trash talk him. It doesn't matter if it's buying god tier loot or not.

Keep on making the difference between PvE and PvP gaming. You're doing EA's work for them.

I'm well aware of elitist snobs in gaming. Heck in ME3MP you'd get kicked out of lobbies without warning if you brought characters other players didn't like, which I learned when I tried to roll an N7 Fury or a Geth Juggernaut. I'm also aware of people trashtalking others if they think they're not pulling their weight. I don't really care, but this isn't really so much an issue with the pay wall model of multiplayer games rather more a community issue. Games like Call of Duty are more notorious for that sort of thing, whereas a game like Destiny may not really have that kind of problem, save for special matches like Trials, where there's more pressure to win each match.

But you're being obtuse here. My making the distinction between PvP and PvE pertains mainly to the pay-to-win model. The effect it has on one mode is more meaningful than the other, because in one, the enemy is paying to win rather than an ally.

Okay, man.   Whatever.   Whatever helps you sleep at night.  I'd rather take a thousand League Of Legends and DoTA matches over one match of this P2W bullshit any day.  Because there, I know if I actually apply myself, I can get better.   Here?   No.

For those of us who have actually played both kinds, the difference is very obvious.
