I don't even need face codes. Just put some numbers in those coordinates of every slider so I can have more control over what I'm doing.

< another vote for better lighting - I love DAI, but the first 15 minutes of gameplay - from the prison until I go outside to look up at the breach - has been played a thousand times due to WTF moments. I'm sure you all feel my pain. I'm lucky that I played DAI a year late so had the Emporium. I visit maybe a dozen time in the first few hours, tweaking slightly after every cutscene. However I didn't have that luxury in MEA, so I know the beginning of that real well. Just shows how important it is to be able to go to the CC from the get go and not in a later patch/DLC.

Most of the time it was the shock - you first see your character in a dark prison cell, with just the reflections upon the cheeks, lips, and eyes. You're nodding...thinking to yourself, "Yea...she/he is beautiful!" You smile...proud of your work. Then, Cass brings the character outside and WHAM - the truth of the monster you have created. The ESC keep was my only hope to well...escape! Though, the characters that were my fav. also spent plenty of time at the Emporium as well.

I'd really like to be able to futz around more with the eyebrows. They weren't long enough to me, I'd have liked to be able to fill them in more, or shape them more to my taste.

Some don't even have a great texture, let alone fit the faces, I'd be lucky to find 2 per face that work out. Stretching and shaping them more would be nice, or just having Bioware understand that many players want current eyebrow trends. Not everyone wants Jack McCoy bushes on their elven girl's face.

Then we can easily share faces without a million screenshots. Or use youtube like I did for one of my Inquisitors. I will say DAI's character creator wasn't bad, but like others have mentioned, the hairstyles could use more variety. Instead of having x number of bald, how about x number of long hair to choose from?

I wish eyebrows, facial hair and hair all had different color sliders. And more colors would be nice to begin with. An actual black black BLACK is also missing, like what the heck.
More beards would be good too, I don't understand how some completely regular facial hair patterns aren't available, ones that would be easy to make, like just a simple goatee without a mustache? And why are to qunari beards so dumb? The mustache is ridiculous.

I would not consider ME:Andromeda's CC that bad if it had been a starting point or a quick play CC. It provided some decent looking Ryders, but was painfully limited.
That's not a bad idea, I think. Have presets, a limited CC like Andromeda and an advanced CC inline with what DA:I offered. And better hair.

Can't believe I didn't expand on this point earlier...but yes I hated the CC for Inquisition. Probably the worst part of the game. No codes, those stupid grid things, lots of options which seemed frivolous. I'd take Andromedas every day of the week (imo probably biowares best CC)

In the next ME game, I like to see more options for long hair, or rather long hair that goes past the shoulders. I was able to get femquisitor to look good. I would like to have less bald choices and more long hair choices for the next DA game.

I had trouble getting brown eyes from the dai cc colour wheel, i could get a faded Brown, a yellowish brown, but I couldn't get the warm dark brown i was looking for. So an improvement on the colour wheels would be nice.
And better hair styles would be my main want for da4 cc.
Normal lighting instead of darkness would be nice.
But otherwise Dai had a pretty good cc.

- Take the CC from Inquisition and add the hair options from Origins and DA2 (with the same (or better) graphics, naturally) make those hair options viable for Qunari characters as well
- some player exclusive hair options (I mean, companions and npc's can have exclusive hair options, so why not the pc?) so that the pc can look unique without going ten paces and seeing ten npc's with the same hairstyle as you
- slider option for body tattoos and piercings for face and body Iron Bull already has body tattoos (even if in default he doesn't), it'd be interesting to have them for the pc... I often head canon that Dalish characters have more markings then just the vallaslin there's also Zevran who hints at this during party banter with Alistair, saying he has more tattoo's then just the one on his face
- another vote for more neutral lighting, or have some varied instances of lighting so you can preview your character in different settings (like done in certain MMO's)

don't listen to this bald-people-hate, biower I'd like the option to choose eyebrow color separately from hair color. platinum blond hair for example I thought tended to look better with some kind of mod/workaround thing (I can't remember what it was exactly) that let me choose to have darker brows. I'm always here for piercings and body tattoos, I love what we see in a couple pieces of concept art for instance where Dalish characters have vallaslin elsewhere not just the face. don't force my female PCs to be feminine. my pet peeve. absolutely have the options so that it's totally possible tho for others, of course. hyper-specific I guess but I also hate being forced to have Received Pronunciation english accents in games... being able to choose a voice was a god-send in DA:I. and at least in Andromeda I got to be American instead. NEUTRAL LIGHTING god yes bring back race selection pls I wanna be an elf

I agree on the separate hair and eyebrow color slider (I mean we had the option during Origins and DA2 and in Inquisition it was suddenly gone) maybe then I can finally make a proper vision of a character with albinism
also, black hair that is actually black and not just very dark grey or brown

Ultimately I need a wider variety of hairstyles more than i need realistic long hair simulation.
Both would be good though.

Better lighting would be a start.
EDIT. Also, eye and eyebrow rotation. NON unisex hairstyles. Being able to manipulate both the top and bottom lip individually, rather than just overall lip thickness. I'm sure I'll think of more, but this is it for now.

Everything I'd want was already listed so instead I want to propose a possible compromise/solution to the body slider thing. Since the main issue would be fitting armor to different body types, and armor is for the vast majority class restricted, what if classes had different body types ? Muscular warriors, toned rogues, slender mages.

For me, I really loved what they did with the character creator in DA:I. However, if I had to offer a suggestion to Bioware for character creator, I would ask them to look at BDO's character creator for some inspiration. Personally, I love that with BDO you can pick between a certain number of hairstyles but you can tweak their length and style to make them completely unique from anyone else. And with longer hair, you can toggle the hair being up in a ponytail or a bun as you please. Especially with certain head gear. Having more customizable lounge clothing would be nice too. Perhaps something like in the Sims 3 where you can pick fabrics and colors for furniture. Maybe we could do the same thing for lounge clothing. Fashion is endgame, as they say. Beyond that, I really hope that if Qunari are a playable race again, we can pick horns separate from the hair this time. Lastly, THE ABILITY TO SAVE A CUSTOMIZED LOOK TO A SAVE SLOT IN CHAR CREATOR similar to how ffxiv has it when you create a new character. You have a number of slots you can save a character appearance and recall it when you are in the character creator.

Hair improvements. I mean hair that looks like hair
1- long and short. No buzz cuts or baldies.
2. Dwarven beards as in those found in DA:O / DA2 3. human facial hair options
Face improvements
1- Allow me to tweak pre-set face characters. 2- Improve options / features from the DA:I CC. Even better.. re-write it properly.
Body Sliders
Not to be expected.... sigh. The FB engine appears to have no capability for variable body templates that can be stretch or shrunk. Therefore one template "stamp" for all to permit many skins to overlay the original.
Hm... I wonder what the metrics show, regarding CC usage and if this information drives Bio's CC coding effort. Remember what they ask themselves. Is it good for Bio to invest, time, resources and cost to develop a worthwhile CC?

Honestly at this point I think we need to accept that hair options are always going to be limited/a little bit shit in Bioware games. Take a breath and pick your form of balding everyone.
