I don't get the Darkspawn love thing? Heh For Dwarf romance in DA4: Harding or Valta. Varric would have been nice in DA2. Don't you desire a Larius-kind lover? Such a shame! Or a Genlock: dwarf+darkspawn in one, what a profit!

I will never ever be able to play a "here's X as the Inquisitor" run, and I don't really...get the concept. But that's a damn near perfect Anders. Right? I don't even like Anders but they did him justice (har har ) here.

It exists: the Darkspawn Chronicles, a DLC to Origins. Wait, romancing a Darkspawn is in Chronicles ? I can't believe I missed that, I need to replay it. Killing the team one by one was fun though. No, he means you can be a Darkspawn in that DLC.

I wouldn't want to risk turning into a Broodmother to "romance" one however...

I don't see anything in that that suggests they have reproductive organs, while stuff in the Codex says they don't. From the wiki: Female captives are usually made broodmothers by the darkspawn. They contract the taint by being force-fed darkspawn tissue, and consuming darkspawn vomit that is forcefully spewed into the captive's mouth. This gives them cannibalistic urges but also mutates them. These females turn into fully-fledged broodmothers after devouring massive amounts of flesh even from their own kin. ******************************* As a species, the darkspawn are asexual and unable to reproduce. This task is left to a specific form of ghoul, referred to as broodmothers. Captured female prisoners are infected with the taint and forced to consume the flesh of their fellows. Those that survive this process undergo a horrific transformation and become massively swollen creatures that exist to breed more darkspawn.

I guess they could have changed it, but the language in that poem for the broodmother quests really suggests rape, and uses the word "violate", so I'm assuming there's some sort of reproductive organ.

One can be violated in different ways. The term doesn't always mean raped. For example one can violate another's personal space. That's just a common use for that term now thus why many thought that's what that meant.

If they didn't mean it to mean rape, then they screwed up with writing very badly - it's a quest all about violating a woman's body, that they couldn't see there was rape overtones is something I find hard to believe. They used the rape overtones to make it more shocking and dramatic. To use it like that and say then it wasn't rape sounds like wanting to have your cake and eat it too - basically really crappy writing.

I also just assumed that women turned into broodmothers were raped. So does that mean broodmothers reproduce asexually then? Looking at that wiki quote, this looks to be the case. Weird.

To use it like that and say then it wasn't rape sounds like wanting to have your cake and eat it too - basically really crappy writing. Yes. The original meaning of the word violate meant 'to be treated violently' and later 'to defile or profane' something. That's why it became connected with rape since a person who was raped was treated violently and defiled thus violated. I also just assumed that women turned into broodmothers were raped. So does that mean broodmothers reproduce asexually then? Looking at that wiki quote, this looks to be the case. Weird. Correct. Darkspawn are born asexually. The closest example we have on Earth are things like certain insects like bees. Which is probably what the writers had in mind since the Darkspawn already show other attributes similar to them like a hive mind mentality. Baby Darkspawn, the Children, even look like larvae.

Wait wait, are we talking about Anders now? If so, here's Inquisition Anders! I will never ever be able to play a "here's X as the Inquisitor" run, and I don't really...get the concept. But that's a damn near perfect Anders. Me neither, but I do like the looks of some characters, so if they are not in the game, I'm playing, I do sometimes like to use a certain look. I always liked, how Anders looks in DA2, he is the spitting image of a younger Charles Dance, my favorite actor. So playing a make human, who looks like him, wouldn't be bad. I made a human girl once, that looked like Isabella ( with a better taste of clothes of course), but sadly, I accidentally erased get playthrough and wasn't able to recreate her.

Being forcefed with darkspawn meat and undergoing a transformation, that warps your body and mind, is probably the worst violation, someone could encounter. But I agree, that one can interpret the poem wrong. I thought, Hespith speaks about torture and in a way it is if course. Really the most disturbing scene in the whole series for me.

I interpreted the process of becoming a broodmother as intentionally analogous to rape, big part of how disquieting it was.

You can't kill him if you spring him from jail. You either make him a Grey Warden(which will result in his death in the Trespasser epilogue slides), make him indentured to the Inquisition(eventually leading to him being taken by the Wardens) or grant him a full pardon. The only way to give him the fate he deserves is to leave him to Orlais. Well, it's not like it would make any sense to spring a man awaiting execution from jail if your plan is just to execute him yourself. Sure it would, to a blood-thirsty sociopath of an Inquisitor. Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Inquisitor. And if there were a political benefit to being the one to cut off his head, even more so. I'm not saying I want to play an Inquisitor like that -- I've played PC's that liked Blackwall, romanced Blackwall, and ignored Blackwall as annoying and creepy, but otherwise harmless. I'm just saying, there's no overestimating how bloodthirsty people in power might be.

I doubt it - all 3 are rogues and not much personality imo between the 3 of them. Vaea is the most interesting but only because of her Robin Hood wannabeeness. Otherwise, meh.
