Tessa, Vaea, Harding are most likely female companions so not ünlü or mannish at all Tessa never really struck me as that interesting. Lace? I suppose, but I would prefer a new dwarven lass, or at least Dagan or Valta. Vaea? A female elven Robin Hood type who survived the Fifth Blight as a child and is good friends with an older, grizzled knight? Gee, where have I heard the one before ?

Both comics show her in relationship with Charter. That's better, she can have a story about her (maybe ex) relationship or it can be a poli relationship

I doubt it - all 3 are rogues and not much personality imo between the 3 of them. Vaea is the most interesting but only because of her Robin Hood wannabeeness. Otherwise, meh. After Sera though... why would they do two in a row?

It would be nice if Tessa and Charter were an established couple in the next game and without the ability for the PC to get involved. We haven't had a stable NPC f/f relationship in the games. The only stable NPC same-sex relationship we've seen, that has nothing to do with player choice, is Wade and Herren. We need more same-sex relationships among NPCs to show that it's actually a thing in the world, not just reserved for player romance.

That was one nice thing about the bickering couple at the Winter Palace! It was nice to see a same-sex couple without all the pomp and circumstance. Leliana/Marjolaine, Briala/Celene, Hespith/Branka... uhh, not exactly role model relationships there. So I'm all for Charter and Tessa staying together though I'm not particularly interested in either as characters. On the other hand I really like Vaea. She could even be the series' first female elf LI available to male elves. I think she's very different from Sera; for one, she seems very attached to city elves. She's like a rogueish Shianni.

I'd actually totally love a female Qunari straight romance, so how mannish, ugly and lesbian is that? OP's head right now: I like the kind of woman who could break me with one hand. 😎 What about a woman who can cut you in half? She's also a vampire to boot.

After Sera though... why would they do two in a row? Wouldn't be the first time Bioware's reused an archetype in quick succession. Yeah, but they usually tweek and alter the new version so that's not a complete rehash. I admit I haven't read Knight Errant yet, but aside from being more coherent and mature, is Vaea really different enough from Sera to justify being a Companion?

And I say this as a huge Sera fan - from what we've seen, Vaea's different from her in all the ways that matter. She feels a kinship with her fellow alienage elves (she's close with her uncle, is kind to a little elf kid, is depicted on one of the covers entwined with the Vhenadahl) and she seems more serious and mature in general. Like I said, she reminds me of Shianni. To me it's the difference between Leliana and Josephine or Cullen and Alistair. There are definite similarities, but they're fundamentally different characters. edit: moment of appreciation for that beautiful cover art tho

Having read the comics, I felt Vaea was quite different than Sera, but I like Vaea a lot and it took along time for me to warm up to Sera.

Mayybbeeee... But full on Companion? Still not seeing it, not enough hooks. If past games are any indication, we'll get two elven Companions, male and female, at best. I'd bet good money that at least one of them is heavily connected to the Solas plot, one of his agents or an enemy. Bonus points if they are another Ancient Arlathani Elf, or even another Evanuris. The other could be an elven viddathari for the Qunari plotline, maybe even Tallis or Gatt. Not to mention elven mages, slaves, revolutionaries, mercenaries, or any number of new characters. I'm not saying Vaea absolutely couldn't work as a Companion, just that she doesn't seem as likely or as interesting to me.

Meh, we've had lots of companions who I don't think are all that interesting - and lots of NPCs I'd have loved to have as companions - so I wouldn't rule her out based on that.
In any case, we have nooooo idea what the companion roster will look like at this point.

Idunno, but I really haven't enjoyed Bioware companions looks-wise since maybe DA Origins and the ME trilogy. You're talking about someone who is Bi, so I was pretty much screwed on both sides. DA: Origins you had Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana all good picks. ME had tons of beautiful women. Then we got to the modern Bioware games. Cassandra: Eh, thing is? she looked absolutely fine in DA2 before they decided she had to look like a man. Sera: Ugh Dorian: Not entirely hideous, but not hot either, looks like a cartoon villain. Funny thing is, we see his dad in-game, and Dorian almost looks about the same age with less wrinkles lol. I'm sorry but there's no way Dorian is in his 30s. That's a 40-50 year old man tops. They should've gave him stubble atleast and corrected that issue with his eyes looking walled, and the eyebrows looking as if they were plastered on. Bio was never good at facial hair or hair in general though. He looked better in the concept art, before they decided to make him look comedic. Thank god for mods! The power of what stubble and natural looking eyebrows can do! In the future, Bioware should go the route of Bethesda. Give players more freedom to mod, then these complaints shall cease. Iron Bull: Ugh, btw I love how for the gay choices Bioware went for two extremes rather than in between. They gave us a super flamboyant and prissy guy, and then a super masculine buff mandingo with scars all over him Lmao. Blackwall: I suppose he looks the most normal out of the companions. Varric: Should've been a romance I would've romance that dwarf so quick. Especially since he became hot from his ugly DA2 model. or Hawke, I would've ditched all Inquisition characters for Hawke. That was a missed opportunity. Hell he should've been a party member. Anyone else notice how Bioware made all the actual non party members basically super models? Cullen, Leliana, Josephine. I swear Bioware is a troll. Vetra: Not into aliens Jaal: Not into aliens, especially when they look like fish cats Liam: Gender locked, and also a complete no go because he sucks as a character. Gil: lolplease, speaking of Gil why did they give him the most douchy gay porn bear beard they could. I swear Bioware has this habit of making all gay male characters stereotypical af. Kaidan was like the only normal one, and that one dude in Mass Effect 3 whose name I forget. Reyes: Decent character, but also looks like a potato.

Dorian's not so old, he's 32, and his model fits a 32 years old man. Cullen same age and his model also fit that. Bull, yes, he's not really what I can call attractive, but I liked his romance, hi has his own charm, and he's not stereotypical. You're right: Kaidan and Steve are good looking. Sadly, Steve not a party member, just as Gil, not mentioned Gil's backstory, it's makes me angry always... (I don't have any problem with Gil's appearance, only that he's a simple CC-character, just as Reyes...) (Hey, Hawke has his partner!)
