Andromeda [not] delayed

I've been in corporate suit meetings enough times to understand their thinking.

First, product delivery dates are bound by contractual obligations to the customer. However, in this case, MEA is an internal product and corporate is bound to its shareholders. With that said, publishing dates are determined by several factors, of which the projected date for "is the game ready for publishing" is only one of them. In EA's case, the suits track the project quite closely.

Delays are considered and acted upon by the suits, as they have the "final say". In Bio's case, the devs discuss with Flynn the game status and he, in turn, reports to the suits. Frequency of said reporting normally increases as the game  progresses towards completion.

So, what are the possible reasons that the EA suits will accept another MEA delay after announcing the first? A Showstopper comes to mind. Another is the suits find a corporate financial advantage to delay publishing the game into another quarter (ie: the game is finished and good to go). 

Personally, I doubt the game is in such a state of underdevelopment. This tempest in a tea pot could be as simple as an Amazon internal  process that takes any change to an original pub date by automatically adding  8-10 months to the new one.
