Things I'd like for DA4 (besides Solavellan content that is good, heh)
1. I really want to get a deeper sense of what is happening in Tevinter and explore the relationship they have with the dwarves.
2. Piggybacking on the above, I'd like to see more info on deep Dwarven lore a la Descent.
3. Fog warriors!
4. I want to experience a bit more in regards to Antivan and Rivaini culture. That might be too much to ask if we're in Tevinter, but those societies sound very interesting to me and I'd like to know more.

Yes, I think Solas could have fallen in love with a city elf as well. I don't think it's the Dalishness so much as the elfiness that he would be drawn to. Although he insists that modern elves are not his people, they are probably closer to his people than anyone else on the planet (other than mages) due to metaphysical reasons that we're mainly just guessing at right now. I don't know about the second one. I mean, the Inquisitor seems to have derived some Dreamer abilities from bearing the mark or else we probably wouldn't have seen dwarves hanging out in the Fade with Solas, among other events.  I think that probably was significant for Solas, especially because the balcony scene begins the same for all races - he asks all Inquisitors if they have noticed any changes in their spirit. So maybe a mage elf could have caught his eye if she wasn't the Inquisitor - especially if she had some Dreamer abilities - but I'm not sure about the other classes. Since I play rogues and was playing the Inquisitor, thank goodness I didn't have to worry about it.  Sooo, what you're saying, my lady, is that Solas will always love my Lavellan best no matter what because she's a mage?  |

Definitely a cat person but I do not endorse Anders' actions. 😁) Much as he has the wolf thing going for him, Solas reminds me of a cat person. My own stereotyping, though. I've only ever owned cats myself. My prince of a cat, who gave into all the worst stereotypes about cat behavior (he ruled the house) and my cat who didn't get the memo about cat behavior and was the single most affection creature I ever had the pleasure of shoving off my lap. I would like a dog, though, but I can't do pets now  That's why I need animal companionship in my video games! I live vicariously through them! |

Talk about false advertising, Emergent Compendium! 😄 I tried making one of those and then gave up and watched it through the reflection of my camera. At one point I saw it in a flash with my bare eye and had an imprint of it for awhile and it just passed its peak for us a few minutes ago! |

More random questions! There have been discussions about only Lavellan being able to romance Solas. I think the general consensus for those that are okay with that, is it being due to a vague background connection, yada, yada, elf-y stuff. Well, my questions are this: If the Inquisitor was an elf, but not a Dalish, do you think she would be able to woo Solas like Lavellan did? (This question only works for people who are accepting of Solas only being open to Lavellan.) And If your Lavellan wasn't the Inquisitor, would Solas still have fallen in love with her? Say she was a companion instead of the leader. Certain aspects about their relationship would change and Lavellan might not have the same opportunities as the Inquisitor. Solas's initial interest in Lavellan was his mark, too, and (my speculation) her ability to use his power for order and good. I think not if she's not the inquisitor, at some interview I can't remember Weekes said (not related to the romance, but answering some general question) that Solas doesn't look where everyone else is looking, he's always looking at the inquisitor because he's intrigued by him/her That makes me think that maybe you need to be the inquisitor (or a spirit) for him to even notice you, especially because before meeting the inquisitor he didn't even think of modern ppl as people. As for having magic or not, or being Dalish or city I don't really think that matters as much as just being an elf. He comes from a time when there were only elfs so even though he can respect any inquisitor, it makes sense that what he considers attractive comes in the shape of an elf |
