I assume most of you follow the Twitter thread, but just in case you don't... For those who like to sing and play music, there is this: If you want to join, it's all being organized through Discord, here: discordapp.com/invite/2VR6qvvYou can sing in several languages; they have lyrics in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Elvhen so far. Yes okay, here are the Elvhen lyrics: Elven Lyrics Na enfanim (You are afraid) Banal‘ras‘vhen (Of the heart‘s shadow) Dar‘suledin (Be strong) Elgar‘garas (The dawn will come)
Uth‘hellathen (Neverending struggle) Tu ma‘souveri (Will make you weary) Vhenan Te‘las (Your heart is the sky) Sa‘vunin shem (One day soon) Elgar‘gargas (The dawn will come)
Ghilan‘nedan (The Guide is lost) Tel‘vir Vhenas (There’s no way home) Vhenan Te‘las (Your heart is the sky) Elgar‘garas (The dawn will come)
Na enfanim (You are afraid) Banal‘ras‘vhen(Of the heart‘s shadow) Dar‘suledin (Be strong) Elgar‘garas (The dawn will come)
Dar‘mi Tel‘u (Your blade is not alone) Solas ma‘falon (Stand tall my friend) Melana sahin (The time is now) Elgar’garas (The dawn will come)
Na enfanim (You are afraid) Banal‘ras‘vhen(Of the heart‘s shadow) Dar‘suledin (Be strong) Elgar‘garas (The dawn will come) I don't know who did the translation (maybe Maeves Child, since they have a YouTube video of it) but it looks pretty darn good to me, and I think they managed it all with Elvhen we've actually seen in game, too.

Honestly... I think I'd rather see Solas die than to have his powers removed. But I don't want it being the focus of the game. If he dies it should be as a consequence of something. His sacrifice to change the world maybe, or his death transitioning to something else. As long as something comes of his death, I would be happy. But I don't want them neutering him for a save the world plot, especially when that world's going nowhere fast and constantly facing apocalyptic threats. Somethings got to give, and I think their days were already numbered with the Old Gods running out since that's the only thing keeping the massive amounts of Dark Spawn in the ground... Once they lose the drive to search for them, they could all resurface aimlessly without that drive to dig. That might work for the Redeem Solas crowd, but not the Stop Solas crowd since we want to, you know, stop him. Wait... why would "Redeem Solas" be an opposite of "Stop Solas"? Both options are about stopping what he's doing - what differs is either the means to achieve it, or the fate of Solas himself.

Are you talking about all people who want the redeem option? I'm pretty sure not everyone who wants to redeem Solas wants him to succeed in taking the Veil down. I'm pretty sure some of them just want him to change is mind. I'm actually in BOTH camps. I'd love to see a world without the Veil (and without the possibility of killing a bunch of people doing it) but I'd be totally cool with just getting him to change his mind. I'd be happy either way.

The funny thing to me is that, as much as I think Thedas will eventually change (not necessarily by Solas, though he may be someone who either facilitates it or is one of the big domino pieces on the way there) and while I do think the world probably SHOULD change in some significant ways, entirely irrespective of Solas... I'm not entirely sure the Veil will go down. I'm not even convinced this is even Solas's plan, to be honest. I mean, what if it's more about shifting the nature or properties of the Veil? What if it's already too late and whatever should have stayed behind the Veil is already here and it's about something else? Also... what if we will have to take the Veil down ourselves, because nothing will prevent a threat from... dunno... the Blight? Titans? The other Sidereal Magisters? Awakened Evanuris?

They say he's wrong and they'll prove it. Or that their love will find a way (I think). But that's it, I think?
Admittedly its been a while since I played.

Me too. Mind you, I only played it 1.6 times. And I'm not a full completionist - I wouldn't do quests that my Inquisitor wouldn't do, like destroying the graves to get the mosaic piece in the Emerald Graves or actually assassinating anyone once I specialised as an assassin - I just wanted the melee combat bonuses you get. But I did get all the shards and do all the astrarium stuff.

I think he deserves better than just being stripped of his powers and falling to obscurity, or just being taken out like previous established villains. That said, I'd be ok with it if he remains himself and doesn't have a "fall to madness" arc or anything like that, no drunk with power plot unless they build up to it so it makes sense of course. Just don't want his potential squandered.

There is the possibility that Solas will die regardless at the end but the difference will be in why he dies. For the "stop him at any cost" group he will die because someone (the Inquisitor, new PC or whoever) kills him to prevent his plan from reaching completion, whereas with the "redeem" group they will manage to persuade him that it is no longer necessary, or acknowledges it is wrong, but nevertheless Solas sacrifices himself because that is the only way to stop the ritual at that point.
With the first (destroy) option, he becomes wholly the Dread Wolf by the end and is totally annihilated but with the second (redeem) option he retains enough of Solas that his spirit returns to the Fade and becomes what he originally was (a spirit of wisdom or knowledge perhaps?). Since there are people in Thedas who remember him and care about him, this ensures that when he reforms he retains his memory/identity and is able to communicate with them. When they eventually die, his spirit guides them and protects them on entering the Fade.

Replayed Trespasser yesterday. I MISS SOLAVELLAN SO MUCH. It'se been almost 5 years, there is a good chance we won't play as Inquisitor in next game and there is a chance said game would be released few years from now on. Why can't I forget about this pairing!!
