Garnet : I remember someone posting it on my birthday last year, and since then I always wanted it to be a part of my posts but didn't want to change my avatar. Can't say for certain that it is permanent, but at the moment I find it way too funny to not have.

A pole dancing bunny .... I don't even know what to think about that.  It's both hilarious and mildly disturbing at the same time.

Having strong emotions and motivations doesn't rule out being rational and logical, nor makes it "fake". Claiming so is a false dichotomy.

Basically, it's a question about balance - we all have capacity to be both uncaring and very passionate. The main difference between people is what they care or don't care about. And Solas cares so much for truth and for bringing what he thinks he stole from the world to the people so much, that he's willing to take his cold, logical side to the extreme. That's his REAL problem - through his crappy life experience and aeons in the Fade he became a master of reining his emotions so much, that it threatens to really turn him into a cold, calculating bastard with no mercy, same way hardened Leliana is.

If we learnt anything from the games in the series it is to never trust the bald/ing elf!

Hmmm... so you say that there are no big differences, yet according to you, those who are more 'thinkers than feelers' would consider acts of kindness a waste of time?

It's not just a huge difference, it's an extreme one. And one I find not exactly fair.

It'd also mean - since we're talking in a context of MBTI tests - that I would also consider those things a waste of time, considering I'm more a thinker than feeler. I don't. Being typed as more of a 'thinker' does nothing to change the fact that I'm a terrible sap and an empath. It's how these emotions are approached or addressed or the context of it all is what makes a difference. And Solas is NOT a person to frequently show or indulge much in his emotions - he's a man of deeds and, if need be, he'd be cold and ruthless about it. Even Patrick Weekes basically stated outright that Solas approves of intelligence and will, at times at least, approve of things that are quite ruthless, but beneficial in the long run.... I mean, if it wasn't the case, we wouldn't have the whole "I will end this world if need be" thing in the first place 

And that's entirely true of Solas if you look into what and when he approves of stuff. While it obviously matters for him to simply help, it's hardly a wasted effort for him. Especially if - like Solas - you believe that acts of kindness like it and the way you treat people have a palpable effect on the world (remember his banter with Cassandra about breeding hunger and bad emotions? Obviously this is a counter to that).

And when, for example, we complete all the quests for refugees Solas is first to point out that it's a major PR boost for Inquisition not just in the region, but for a positive reception of Inquisition among the common folk of Thedas.

In other words, this isn't as black-and-white as Solas is either 'more logical or 'more emotional'. He is naturally a mix of both, but because of his time in the Fade his cold, calculating and logical side is one that has taken the front seat.

I trust two out of three of these men with my life.

Ugh, sorry, but these things just irk me. When people insist on reducing others to a few traits and putting them into boxes - which is literally what all personality quiz things are about. It's made even worse when the boxes have no real meaning themselves and people just read whatever they want into them. Like those descriptions are designed to be undetailed and universally applicable. Arguing about what "type" someone is, to me, like arguing if a zebra's black with white stripes or white with black stripes.

Wait ... are you saying that telling someone they're beautiful and unique and that you wanted to show them how much they mean to you and then kissing them and seconds after all of that ending the relationship is NOT the right time?
