You really should try a new dance routine. This one is stale. You continue to ignore dialogue and explanations in game just to keep your narrow point of view. Eh, I just blocked him. To be clear, I didn't block him because he doesn't like Solas. That's fine. I blocked him because he'd rather be insulting and post large, silly quote things than engage in an actual discussion. I have him blocked as well, but I was bored sitting at lunch and wondered what his problem with Solas was today. ToP:

Another thing I don't like about Solas is that he is emotionally a dumb person, like when I took him on an mission with Iron Bull and he was pissed at Gat because he's with the Qun. He was rescued by Iron Bull when he was a kid and he took him in to the care of the Qunari. And Solas is pissed because he joined them to find his purpose in life? Wow Solas you're pretty dull..... Uh, random. lol And starts with "another thing" as if a previous thing had been said and this is just continuing a conversation. Did I miss something???

I don't think the Elves are going to get changed, maybe tweaked for DA4 but I think they are where they want to be design-wise for their races. Now if they want to slide on back to DA2 style Qunari I won't complain.... Switching style now would make no sense. They had to recreate assets from the scratch when they switched engine to Frostbite, so they used it as an opportunity to update the whole visual side of Thedas - now it's time for refinement, not redesign. I would welcome refinement as in the Qunari not looking like fat cows and the elves not being anorexic. Weight change isn't that hard to do, I'm sure.

I did play with my Solasmancing elven archer Lyana a bit more. I feel a bit of pity for the poor guy. He greets her with 'my heart' even in normal dialogue and I think her responses are kind of cold - the way, she says 'We'll talk later', as if Solas was making out with the kitchen maid or something like that. That bothered me in non romanced dialogues with Solas as well, fem inqui (the british voice, which is great normally) always sounds a bit bitchy around Solas - at least in the greetings and good-byes.

Have you done a Sumalee!Lavellan playthrough? Alix does a great job, but I'm always a little sad that Sumalee is less popular for elves. Her wyvern pit performance is stunning, and most people won't get to experience it.

I heard Sumalees voice in videos though and she does do a good job too. Just thought, Alix always sounds so angry with Solas. I just did the quest, where Cole decides to become more human or more spirit - with another character, a human mage. I do understand, where Solas comes from, but I never can make Cole more spirit, I like him becoming more human

At some point, I really want to try the human path in a playthrough where Varric leaves. I was listening to some banter videos that suggested the outcome might be... ah... dramatically different in that case.

Wait, are you saying the Inquisitor can be so bad that Varric actually leaves? I thought that wasn't possible. The Cole quest must be radically different in that case, even to having a completely different cut scene. That's why I thought it was tied to Varric and Solas because neither of them will leave.

Every time someone says "this isn't difficult to program in games" a game developer takes a shot. As if that were an excuse. Might as well not make the game at all. So you'd rather have a weight slider than no game at all ? Sorry, but if you put it that way, it is absolutely a good excuse. In fact, Mike Laidlaw has directly addressed that issue on his Twitter prior to game's release - the game's fate wasn't an issue, but he said that it as either body model sliders, or multiple races for PC. That also makes it an absolutely good excuse, because the weight slider is pretty much inconsequential to the story compared to that. Yet it requires an insane amount of work, because different weights and body models means that all the gear in the game - all the models - need to be reworked and adjusted to fit multiple weights. So until they find a better system to automatically adjust gear to model shape, the effort is simply not worth what we'd have to sacrifice to get that.

It's just an opinion and she's telling me how to think and say on her terms because opposing opinions obviously doesn't suit her and I put the quote as a nice way of saying "If my opinion doesn't concern you don't concern yourself with my opinions." And I don't care what you think so there.

Game features don't just magically work. (As much as we and the devs wish they did.) They have to adjust everything adhering to that singular feature. Not to mention work out all the bugs that show up because of it. The hair is one thing. Something that could practically be improved. Body sliders and such are an entirely different issue. I don't mean to sound harsh, but my husband's a game dev, so I'm defensive about them. They work really hard to let people enjoy things just to have it whined about a lot of the time, so I get angry when people complain that they were too lazy to do something. A lot of the time, they thought about it. It just wasn't possible. And now that I'm done with my rant, I want to share this badly drawn Solas! (Don't worry, I'm insulting my own art. )

My point was that everything is hard when it comes to making a game. Slider? No, no, I want them to change the default model's weight. And before you start lecturing me about how absolutely impossible it is, they modified the elves drastically in DA2. Making the protagonist a little thinner or wider is easier in comparison.

Not only I didn't say something is *impossible* (we were talking about tradeoffs), but I need to remind you that "they modified elves drastically" in DA2... when they were using a completely different engine, and so far they happen to be the only company now that creates big RPGs in Frostbite.

Trade-offs caused by it being impossible to do both. So yes, impossible. I'm speaking of a smaller change. The model would remain mostly the same. And honestly, I don't know why have you been so touchy simply because I said something is doable. I can understand Garnet because she is close with someone who works on games. What is your excuse?

I too would like to see the Dalish looking a little less emaciated in the next game, if that is what you were talking about Iddy. My poor Dalish Inquisitors all looked half-starved, especially in the Skyhold pjs.
