The Blanketfort (crying and throwing up) - The Official Solas Thread [Spoilers]

Mouse was an intriguing part of the Magi Origin because it seemed there was more to him than simply being an adversary or a test. I also felt the red of his robes gave away his true nature when I replayed my Surana Warden. "True tests... never end" was quite true for a mage, and it's a bit of wisdom that certainly does make him helpful.

I think Merrill was certainly on to something. Interestingly enough, Solas and her do echo some of the same sentiments. Both view blood magic as a tool, and don't think it's automatically evil. Both view spirits as more nuanced than a religious connotation of the Chantry that some are good and others are evil. Both of them were willing to risk their lives for their people. Both even respect Mythal, after a fashion. I think they could have had some interesting discussions and debates, given their similarities and differences. Merrill shows in her conversations with Anders (who tries to push his Andrastian views on her a few times) that she can hold her own, and I'm curious what topics Solas would broach with her since she's open to discussion.

All that demon/god/spirit talk gives more credence to the Avvar too. If you see a demon or demons as gods, then why the hell couldn't they be? Though I don't know what's worse, spirits embodying demonic traits or godly ones. That fucking dragon and the fight before when he's in human form, the most frustrating shit ever. I had to go back and make the best possible gear I could, which was just identical to my gear except all of it resistant to frost, just to finish off that damn dragon, and I had two champions, Cass, and friggin Solas in a team. Plus everyone was using frost potions.

Felt good killing him finally.

I'm sure its a combination of the good photography skills and excellent lighting and perfect sculpting skills, but I honestly can't believe that sculpture is a real thing. My brain can't process that someone created something that so faithfully depicts his face. I saw some other sculptures of his but with the colour added, its just..

I've tried to describe it with words. There are none. Its too good and too awesome.

3rd attempt!! I'm mega happy with this I'm improving each time. I didn't even know I could draw! Yayness!

Oh don't get me wrong, Gurd definitely messed my day up... I don't remember how I finally won that fight, I didn't have to go and remake my gear. I think I just changed up the party, was travelling with Sera in the gang and she just wasn't cutting it for that DLC. I was playing on nightmare too since the game for champions and probably all the specializations is cheese on nightmare. Then you start playing dlc and it's a whole different game. I don't even know how often I died, and what really sucked is there was no good save point between waves, just continuous punishment.

That's why I marked the dragon higher though, I always got close to killing Hakkon, and then those little buggers come out of nowhere and it might not happen the first wave, might not happen the second, but eventually those little pricks will lynch my party and throw all my plans out the window. The drakes I mean. Had to make sure to use everyone's bombs, and get solas and sometimes my inquisitor (the mark) to nuke them before they could do too much damage.

Even after I remade my armor for frost resistance, I still had to do the last part of the fight alone with my tank, though I replayed the battle just to see if I could do it without losing everyone later. Should have respec'd their gear too, but lazy, lol.

Oh and yes, you get a cookie! You know how rare it is for me to find Stargate fans?
