The Blanketfort (crying and throwing up) - The Official Solas Thread [Spoilers]

My thought from earlier post thank you for bringing it to life.  

Bearing in mind Weekes wrote Mordin and we had an amusing conversation where he suggested the reason we kept coming round for chats is that we fancied him but he wasn't interested, I could see something similar for Rook and Solas, even though he is likely to be the one making contact for chats but perhaps not. May be it will be left up to Rook if and when they want to make contact, so if we click on the button enough times Solas will say something along the lines of either "I'm really starting to wonder about these conversations you keep having with me..." to "Just wanted you to know I'm already taken."

One day my Rook gonna wake up and realize that they're missing one of kidneys.

I see the world opening up for Solas. First orange zinger, then gradually hibiscus, chamomile and eventually mint. He's willing to change, everyone!

If you had to guess, at what point in the story do you guys think that meeting between Varric and Solas is taking place? I honestly hope they aren't wrapping things up with baldie already in the first act.

I also hope for a few more things: Solas showcasing more godlike abilities beyond his stone gaze. It would disappointingly lazy if the devs didn't expand more upon what he can do.

And while I undestand he was in a vulnerable moment in the trailer, I want to see more of that imposing and badass presence he had in Trespasser's ending.

I was feeling nostalgic and listening to DA music. Then I listened to the credit song for DA2.
I was picturing Varric falling at Solas feet begging, and the future falcon punch I'm throwing his way but then I thought about you Solasmancers (?) and thought damn it kind of fit.
I'm sure someone else thought of that one, but here you go.

Didn't they say the 20 minute gameplay footage (which included the bit with Solas) was from the beginning of the game?  We also know that, at that point Rook was level 1.  I don't think they'd show a level 1 Rook if it was farther into the game.

As someone else said, we'll be 


 ... even if the ritual goes sideways at the beginning, we're not done with Solas that early.

Yeah, that's why I put that bit in spoilers.  Wasn't sure if people wanted that info just out there.  Even without the spoilers though, there's no way we'd be wrapping things up with Solas within the first hour of the game.  That would just be way too fast after we've been waiting 10 years lol.

We are also going to be given more examples of his artwork and this is going to be like journeying back through time, so hopefully will fill in some of the gaps in our knowledge of his history. I wonder just how far back it will go.

That still does mean a severe downgrade in terms of importance. When we played Trespasser, most of us probably didn't expect Solas' great plan to be dealt with so quickly.

Well, unless he does have a plan B to make another attempt to tear down the Veil, but the game's name change makes it seem unlikely.

And speaking of a plan B, I don't think he should have looked so shocked when the two gods appeared. Not after he confidently told us he knew what to do in the event that the gods are freed

Solas is a deceiver, but I never took him for a bluffer.

That makes more sense.
