If you're happy with their decisions more power to you, but that doesn't mean I have to go along with everyone else just because they like it. If they keep on making the same mistakes and not listen to critics to improve their games, then BioWare would be fucked on the long run. I'm just telling it like it is. They've been listening the whole time. It doesn't mean they have to agree with you.
I've provided companies feedback too, but I don't project a "sky is falling" attitude if they don't listen or improve their products and services based on the feedback I provide.
And look how ME3 and Andromeda turned out. This is what happens if they don't take heed to criticism and to take steps to improve their games. And them making excuses like the "artistic integrity" when they've screwed up the ending, and "ME:A didn't get a fair shake" because how horrible Andromeda performed is very problematic.

I cannot fathom why any sane customer would continue to purchase products or do any kind of business (eg. give feedback) from a company who they claim let them down, not once, but twice.

I think you answered your own question in regards to the respondent you quoted...

Is it controversial to say I liked ME3 and didn't think ME:A as all that bad, I certainly wouldn't say they've let me down twice.

Nope...I still play the trilogy once a year and just finished another playthrough of ME:A last night. They haven't let me down yet either. For the cost of the "Super Deluxe Edition", I've been entertained for a 1,000+ hours...pretty good.

Same! I always seem to have an ME play through of some description on the go. Whilst Andromeda could have done with a bit more direction, I still get a lot of entertainment out of it, so I’m definitely in the satisfied camp!

There are plenty of RPGs out there like Mass Effect format wise. Different story and characters, but they still allow you to make choices and have outcomes later on.

Off the top of my head, Witcher, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Fallout Kotor but current games? Other than upcoming games like Cyberpunk I can't think of any.

I always wanted Shepard to just take the Normandy and start an independent interspecies spec ops team. They would fly around, keeping peace and solving peoples problems outside of the Alliance/Council political bureaucracy.
I’d still like a game like that. It would most likely be without Shepard, but by the time it gets released, I’m most likely over my Shepard infatuation.
At any rate, I do hope they give us a more mature main character again. I liked that Shepard already was a competent leader who wasn’t thrown into a “I don’t want to lead, but I have to” situation. Then again, I startet MET right after DA, all of which features reluctant/unprepared heroes.

Lets face it, Bioware has a diverse fanbase. They can't please all of their fans in One type of Hero with Mass effect. I do understand why Fans love Ryder and Shepard and that is a good thing.

I would presume that they’ll have an ME1 Spectre Shepard-like following at minimum after defeating the Archon and activating Meridian.

Even if it’s not a direct “the next day” sequel, I’m sure the personality of the twins will start where they left off. At the end of MEA, they were far more of badass than at the beginning.

Their personality changed throughout the original game as they accomplished stuff. I don't think Ryder changed so much as others' perceptions of and attitudes toward Ryder changed. And this would be the starting point in any sequel featuring Ryder - already proven and respected, based on prior accomplishments. Granted, that didn't make the Council any more inclined to believe Shepard like, ever.

Lol, gamer trolls trying to justify harassment and death threats because of shortcomings in a product. Way to prove the article's point. Gaming culture is a cesspool, and there's no better example than the Bioware forum (now represented here, after the original forum was shut down due to.. that's right, being a cesspool).

Are we going for a Disney Wars-style retconboot? Fuck Ryder. Fuck Shepard. Give me literally anybody of any race in the Mass Effect Cinematic Universe, give me a real reason and a compelling task, and set me loose. Again, who wouldn't buy that? ... I want a Prothean protagonist game, during the peak of their cycle, to visit the various primitive worlds and *relate* with them. Dominate some, destroy others. Elevate the sexy ones.

I want a Prothean protagonist game, during the peak of their cycle, to visit the various primitive worlds and *relate* with them. Dominate some, destroy others. Elevate the sexy ones. Interesting concept. What I missed in MEA was the ability to be a conqueror rather than forced being a diplomat. Especially after playing Paragon Shepard. Sure, it would have made things more complicated for the developers, especially if they make MEA2. I just feel like most of the dialogue is different ways of saying the same thing. Even if the story forces you to play nice, you can’t really be distrustful or aggressive towards any of the Alien races.
