Would you buy this, if it was made into a dlc?

Yep, me too. Despite all the debate about the implementation of "live content" (and depending on their definition, of course) I wish they could do this for ME3.

I wouldn't mind if they made something smaller and cheaper than a full game. Something akin to a standalone expansion or a spin off project. Longer than a regular DLC, but shorter than a full game.

Andromeda was an interesting aside, but I have little interest in staying out there. Back to the MW please.

I suppose, in theory, Refuse could allow Shepard to return as a playable character if he was recovered from the Citadel. There were plans from the Initiative to bring more arks and colonists, so they must have been constructing more arks, so potentially Shepard could flee the Milky Way and end up in Andromeda.

My canon: Because of the nature of the Citadel DLC, I like to imagine that Shepard dies after saving the world and everything that happens in the DLC is their version of the afterlife .

It was to sort of point out that our canon endings might not be in agreement.  However, it could be interesting if Shepard were put in one of those Prothean cryo pods.  Since s/he might be just one among a few, some VI would manage to keep them alive. Shepard could, say, take the slot Alec had.  Shepard is no politician but does know to inspire people.  People like Tann and Addison would be too much in awe of Shepard to remain dumbasses.  Shepard would have had enough of politicians screwing over the galaxy and put those two in their place. This is me throwing out random ideas.

I knew you picked destroy and used MEHEM but I didn't know you use JAM. I'm curious which version do you use A or B?

I would love MAE2. They have an incredible foundation of lore. Who are the Jardaan, where did they go, and why did they leave. Why did they build a massive fortress on Havaarl. What does all their other tech do that’s sitting around. Why do they need Remnant Architects. And then there are the Kett. The Archon was clearly a minion in a much higher scheme. I do hate that it’s basically reaper indoctrination as others have said, so add more meat to it. Also where did the Titian ark go? Bring the Geth back! Peebee was a weak Asari as far as booties were concerned. Next time maybe let the twins play together as part of the squad? And you can switch back and forth between them? Maybe that’s too far but at least let them play and be seen together. I kept waiting for that to happen the whole time. Also show the planets in their new stabilized conditions. Add way more life forms. NOT JUST CLONES of the same 4 animals on every planet. Angara have Electomagnetic capabilities. Make skill sets for it. The music score for the trilogy was incredible. Bring Sam Hulick and Jack Wall back!

I wouldn’t be surprised if at least half the team would be new characters. Some I think will remain, like most of the non-squad crew and maybe a couple companions, but the others I could see leaving but showing up as NPCs.

I don't think the problem is with the characters, per se, but with some of the writing. Drack was great as a character and the writing was very well done. I did not like Liam at all, but the writing was excellent … I think Liam is exactly what they intended him to be. PeeBee was a miss for me … but in the next installment, PeeBee could be done far better and the poor character development of the first installment could be left behind.

Not dumping on the writers so much as looking at the rushed timeline, once they finally rebooted the MEA effort after abandoning the idea of procedurally generated worlds. Also not dumping on the VAs … some were a bit long in the tooth for the age of the character they were representing (the voices of Scott, Vetra and Cora seemed too old for the character IMO), but that is fairly trivial. With better writing, I probably would not noticed, much less cared.

Like HI said, we will probably see new characters in the next installment (similar to the MET) … my hope is that both old and new characters get the attention they need … editing, polish, but also new story ideas, expanded back story … to make the cast more compelling. It's easy to look back at the characters of the MET and say they were compelling … but we had three games to get to know them. Not sure I had that much affection for any of them after ME1.

MEA was far from perfect, but I enjoyed the game and look forward to the next installment … as TT said, the story has great potential, great hooks … it just needs to take advantage of those hooks and give us follow-on games that capture the potential.
