to themikefest, if your Shepard does return, would you let him/her pass the torch to a new capable hero? I mean capable enough to finish what Shepard had started with the Reapers. To Stop the Reapers no matter the cost. No matter what, If Shepard does return, I do want to be respectful in the sense of him being extremely capable badass.

There are many ways to move pass the ME3 endings and the Possible destruction of the Reapers. Even if Shepard does destroy the Reapers, many Fans including myself wants someone new for the Milk Way Mass Effect galaxy that is very capable. Having Leviathan as a possible bad guys might be good. In short, I do want defined closure to Shepard within the Milk Way galaxy. there are many possible new heroes can be showed and told.

Not sure if I want Leviathan to be the next baddy in a sequel to ME3.
Since I've seen posts about a game that takes place years after the events of ME3, it could have a group of characters, all from different species, trying to get back at the council that more wasn't done to prevent the reapers from doing what they did. The group is funded by weathly individuals who want to get back for what happened. Their base of operations could be in a remote area of a cluster away from unwanted eyes. They've been using parts from a destroyed reaper to do something bad. The main character is tasked to stop them. Just an idea.

I wouldn’t mind if they made a smaller indie type game instead of a full fledged ME5, at least while they “figure it out”.
I've mentioned before how I would love to fly around on a small ship ala the Normandy with a small independent group of intergalactic species helping people without the politics of the council or the "humans are the best" Udina-type of person dictating what outcome is preferred.
A prequel featuring a young Shepard could also possible work. They must have done stuff to be even considered a potential Spectre. It doesn't even have to be anything grandiose. You can also easily include new romances, since it’s set in the past.
Maybe we could experience what happened on Akuze (yeah, not everyone chose that reputation, but if it’s a small game not every ME fan has to buy/like it for it to be a success).
Alternatively, you could play as a person who would have been chosen to become Spectre if Shepard hadn't been better.
No matter what, I just want them to make the story different than what we already have. I felt like the story of MEA reused different aspects of MET and it never really got to become it's own thing.

An idea for the start of ME4
game starts during the war for earth, you play as a rookie soldier/marine or whatever, bumbling through the battle as the game takes you through a basic controls tutorial, in the distance you see much of what happened in ME3s battle for earth taking place in real time, your character sees Shepard beamed up to the pillar/citadel was it? (sorry its been a while) you continue battling low level geth, banshees or whatever at the bottom of the beam as flashing lights and clear engagement can be seen happening at the top, the game flashes white and your character enters a cut scene where we see people running clear and for cover as the citadel falls, you see Shepard fall to his apparent death, cut scene finished and you’re in play again as your character, amongst others head back towards what is now rubble (another chance for the game to introduce control tutorials like whatever climbing, jumping, jetpack etc methods they go for in ME4), your character with or without a small rescue finds a close to death Shepard and calls for help, back to cut scene of short bursts of Shepard being air lifting from the rubble, taken to a earth based science/ medical facility, love interest pacing outside as doctors working on him and ultimately failing as his heart machine stops beeping or whatever and the doctor calls time of death, we then see his funeral (military style) take place as all our old favourite characters appear on screen accompanied by some sort of montage of ME1,2,3 highlights of Shepard (for nostalgia reasons and for those new to the game)
The main game then starts something like 5/6 years later as your once rookie character is being promoted to whatever position and given his own star ship etc, not too dissimilar to start of ME1
Throughout the game you tackle your own tasks and story’s and what not (whatever Bioware decide the story should be) but there’s also an underlying throw back to the past as you encounter the odd ME1,2,3 character with maybe even the option to recruit one or two of them and whatever fall out from end of ME3
Oh and in terms of the which option did you choose at the end of ME3 debate, just let Bioware work out what was the most popular choice and go with that, sure it might not please the minority but it will the majority (plus Shepard both survives and then dies so that pleases all both sides of the he dies/he survives fans, alternatively, whatever ending you chose, you can select before the game starts and then it can be explained that during the 5/6 years between sheps death and you getting a starship they can just tell a quick story of what happened and now its all solved, so bioware would come up with three versions of this story dependant on your choice but how the galaxy ultimately stands at the start of your story (so after 5/6 years) is the same regardless.

I've even mentioned that. I don't believe Bioware would do that. Don't know what the plot would be if Shepard were to wake up 600 years later. Of course to deal with the reapers face-to-face, I would have Shepard wake up about 50.000 years later.

Eh, there have been a few times where people have expressed that, like “Shepard goes into stasis” things. We need Bioware to just say "He's dead period. " Well One way to kill Shepard off forever is to kill him on screen. Griffith, you might not like what I am thinking but having a retcon of the endings that Shepard, Anderson and T.I.M. deciding the fate of the galaxy then Henry Lawson with a massive army of Reapers and Collectors storm their location thus Forcing Shepard, Anderson and T.I.M. to work together against the onslaught of Reaper forces. During the battle, T.I.M calls one of his agents to rescue them, the agent and his team rescues them. but the Trio do die from their injuries from the battle. In Order for the Reapers and Henry Lawson not to use their bodies, that the Agent will use a shuttle go dangerously close to the star that Chronos Station is next too and disposed of their bodies in that Star. then Cerberus Agent and reminding living Cerberus members become the Last Legion and use Stasis. While they are in stasis, they inject themselves with a Nanite that makes them resistance if not immune to Reaper indoctrination. There are many Possible heroes for the Milk Way, so my above idea is one of many thousands of possible heroes that Bioware can develop. there are many ways to make sure if Bioware wants to keep Shepard dead while transition into a New Hero for the Milk Way Galaxy. To Griffith, I have nothing against Ryder. Personally If I had it my way, having 2 Mass Effects teams that is well funded to be dedicated to Mass Effect Andromeda and Mass Effect Milk Way.

Well With my Cerberus Agent idea, Roleplaying purposes he would be pro human but how he views aliens will be up to the Player. And more Paragon leaning players will like the options to save people while completing missions. Renegade Leaning Players will have more guns blazing racist and overall douchbaggary options. Basicly It is scalpel vs hammer debates with Paragon vs Renegade, Paragon are your scalpel type of players and Renegades will be your hammer.
Lore wise: He would have the gene that would bond with eezro that common with human biotics. So while he working for Cerberus, he can able to learn Biotic abilities regardless of his class. Due to it will be a infiltrator theme game, he would have a Tactical Cloak as one of his starting abilities. due to his history, he can use Sword, Hammer and Shield. Personally I would have him as a Phantom with Core abilities of Tactical Cloak, Biotic Shield/Bubble, Palm Blaster and Sword as starting abilities. Infiltrator class would get Decoy and Tactical Scan as options. Soldier would have Smoke Grenade as an option.
I do need to develop a Volus Player Character. I would write him as a capitalist with a keen understanding of Galactic economy. I would borrow ideas from ME3mp volus characters to a work up on the classes for him.
For a smaller scale, I would like to see A C-Sec Hero of any species and how they save people and take down criminals, terrorists and other bad people.

I suppose one option would be to go with Refuse and start the game with the allied races all going into stasis like Javik did, so that they could return once the Reaper War was finished and plot their revenge. It wouldn't invalidate any of the other endings, and instead lets us play as part of a new cycle and find a more plausible (enjoyable) way to save the galaxy when the Reapers return.

They'd wake up to a new cycle, who knows what that cycle might be like and what the cryogenically frozen war machine would have to do to secure themselves in this unknown future.

So...Mass Effect: Andromeda.

You want everyone else who doesn't agree with your take on ME3 to give up everything just to bring your Shepard back to life. When did I say I wanted everyone to give up everything? Come on now, stop being coy. You're basically stating all the time that it's always destroy with you... so, you're basically telling anyone who would never pick destroy to give up everything and just roll with it.

Yes I pick destroy, but I don't tell everyone to choose it. So, how about you showing a post where I said for everyone to give up everything? It oozes out of every post... you don't think you outright ask it, but you DO absolutely expect it. You're trying to be coy... splitting hairs all the time. The bottom line, however, is that if you get what you want... canon will be destroy and only destroy and Shepard will live and only live. IF Bioware gives you what you want, everyone else who likes/chooses another ending will lose everything.
You answer posts giving ideas as to how ME5 might continue one with Reapers in it with "My Shepard destroyed the reapers." The implication that you don't state is as strong as if you said it out loud. "You can't have reapers in ME5 because my Shepard destroyed the reapers." The expectation is that people give up any hope of having some Reapers in a future game. So, yeah, in effect, you're always asking for people to give up on their alternative ideas and various compromises for moving forward. You're deadlocked on destroy and Shepard lives.
